I have to say, I completely understand where Cal is coming from and agree with him 100%. If you can remove an element from a game with no detrimental effect, then you have to question the value of its inclusion in the first place.

Good point, well made. Apart from it isn't either. I don't want to speak for Cal, but I believe we both felt that it was a very good game and therefore not wasted on us at all. The fact that we took away a different reading of the overriding theme (acknowledging that it's against the developers intention), just means that we got something different from the game. This is a perfectly normal response, by the way - go into any art gallery in the world and you will find different people taking different things from the exhibits.

I get what this game is and I appreciate the themes. But I'm not really having fun with the gameplay end of things. Wee bit disappointed but it's meant to be short so I'll see it through for the story

Yeah, I think it's around 4 to 5 hours, meant to be good though, I keep meaning to pick it up.
