Ok, so I may rant about my ex ignoring me, but I got another girls phone number a few weeks back.

Now she keeps saying that she has lots of free texts / credit when I talk to her on MSN. I think she may want some text action. What sort of stuff should I be sending? My life is fairly uneventfull and I see her on MSN lots of nights. Help a brother to text flirt.

No it isn't, it's great. You have much fewer inhibitions when texting, and it can be done when you're both in bed. Win, in my opinion. The texting phase of a relationship is fun.

Just the normal gooseberry fool girls like - ask her about herself/ pretend to be interested, pretend you are busier/ have even more mates than you do/ your life is more exciting than it is, throw in a few jokes (e.g. today a girl mate of mine told me she was a bit down, so, to cheer her up, I included my favourite statistic: '4 out of 5 people enjoy gang rape' - did the job).

Also, take the piss out of her, girls like it and it makes you seem confident and assured.

Nah you're alright, I wonder if you remember who I used to be, been a long day coming for this revenge/joke post.

Just strawberry floating be yourself already. Where's the giddyness and excitement? I'm sure Igor felt the same way because I too love the text phase and it's never gone over the three years at all. It's so uninhibitive. No I'm not a loser who only texts, but texting is great and all you have to do is be a little bit risky at times to bring out the edge in the girl if you know what I mean. I remember the early days I'd talk about La Senza or Ann Summers and my girlfriend wouldn't think I had the courage to go into those places, so she'd dare me to do things and I'd say I'll do it and whatever I did, I'd get to use on her and it turned into dares, which brought out a little more and more of her sexual appeal to me.

My God, this reminds me of something hilarious.

An old friend was once texting this girl who was telling my girlfriend everything he said and he was saying some right weird gooseberry fool like "We're having a pillow fight and I'm accidentally suffocating you. Oh no, you're unconcious. I'll have to take off your clothes in case of a fire and to let you breathe. Text back if you want to hear more".

Funny/scary times.

Texting is pretty much the perfect way to a get a girl you met randomly interested in you mayne.

Just some simple gooseberry fool like, How's your day been?

Then go from there.

Also, if you text her and she doesn't text back, don't text her again until she gets in contact with you, if you keep texting her like Are you ok??? Did you get my last msg??? you're gonna look like a lame.

Also, if you get any chance to get a bit more cheeky go for it (ie you ask her what she's going and she's like Oh I'm just in bed bored or something).

Also, don't constantly text her back straight away or it looks like you've got nothing better to do than sit around waiting for her to text you (you don't but if the bird knows this you're gonna look like a lame).

Just don't say some weird creepy gooseberry fool mayne and you should be ok.

Start off gentle. "How are you?" "Thought i d get you started on using up all those texts". something light - then if she responds you match you tone to hers. If she is mildly flirtatious you can be too. If she is a little demure then "can I dump on your wallys?" may be a little strong.

Keep note of how quickly she responds and how often, if its fast / high in both cases then she's interested.
If she takes time responding then she may be trying to control the situation so do the same. Dont rush to text her back - tease it out and make her wait. Play the game and you may win a prize!
