I enjoy playing Animal Crossing and this appears to have a similar style of gameplay. The only thing putting me off is that - for me - the styling doesn't seem to be quite as attractive. Hmmn...

It's great! Didn't realise I'd spent that much time but not really surprised - it's a massive time sink! What can I say, give it a go; it's not exactly expensive and is definitely good value. Styling follows all the way through in it's low bit way and he actually manages to pull off a few rather beautiful scenes. Recommended!

Thanks for the update, dude. On Saturday I was hugely tempted to jump aboard... it sounds cool but, now that Pocket Camp is arriving on Wednesday, I think I’ll just hold off for a short while to check that out first. If it is a battery-sucking pay-a-thon then I’ll return to give this a go :) .

I thought the Pocket Camp news might affect your decision! Must admit, I'm tempted to download it myself. Too many games!!

Getting back into this it's a great wind down before bed (as long as you remember to keep track of when bed time is). I'm sure there is a way to play this "right" and be amazingly productive but I'm quite happy pottering about town with my fishing rod and collecting wood for upgrades.

I've retired my PS4 farm after the first year now (30 hours  ). I've got a Switch on the way and I'm pretty certain that'll be my SDV platform of choice going forwards.

I think the dance is to the south west of the Wizard's Tower?

I'm in my first Winter now. Haven't got enough cash to upgrade everything to gold....

The jury is still out at the moment!

Anyway... still, is married life impacting upon your village maintenance routines? :) .

Well, as chance would have it..., I got married again last night to an arty girl called Laura. She has already moved into my house. Hoping she will help me water my melons.....

Given what I've read re Animal Crossing 'fleece your pockets edition', why not give this a go?!

I am enjoying Pocket Camp but, although I haven’t spent any real money yet, it’s nearing the point where I think I might do so. Which means that I have to decide on going down that road or switching to Stardew. Will have a think about this.

To be fair, I planned on the disk version because I can trade it in if I dont like it. I have previously owned it (and returned it) on the PC and didnt get on with it, but since I now the PS4 in the bedroom I thought it could be an ideal wind down game, whereas on the PC I tend to be a bit more engaged.

Its a really neat little box too, cute map and book. Reminded me of the olden days when games came with useful cute crap inside the box.

Tell you what, I'm so confident that you'll like it that I'll reimburse you a crisp fiver if you don't.

Note: this offer only extends to jawa for services to the forum.

:o . Wow! Thanks, Rex. That’s a magnificent gesture but I shall, if you don’t mind, decline the offer. I am gonna watch a couple of Stardew vids on YouTube again before deciding if I’ll give it a go. Thanks again, man :) .

Just don't make the mistake of doing a 15 minute blast before going to bed. It will not end well if you need a full nights sleep.
