I liked his character. I think I liked Peter's brother the best (can't remember his name).

Nathan Petrelli's death killed the show for me.

Was it his death or the fact Sylar was "brain washed" into being him?

Everything about that whole story. The entire season, even. Utter garbage.

The fact they couldn't be consistent with sylar, he flipped bad to good to bad so often I stopped caring.

Oh god this.

Sylar was great in the first series because he was in the shadows, but when you know him inside and out then there's no threat so to speak. God knows why they kept trying to paint him as the ultimate bad guy when he barely did anything over the remaining series. Hilarious really that they didn't manage to come up with a decent villain to replace him.

Oh I'm good now, no I'm not I'll never change, oh wait I'm good again, no I'm not, wait I'm a hero! Oh I'm bad again.

I liked Mr. Lindeman as a villain. IIRC, he isn't seen until the end of the first series and, prior to this point, is only felt and heard through the actions and words of his subordinates. As with Sylar, this "less seen, more felt" approach worked well.

I stuck with it all the way through, I'm delighted to see it coming back.

The thing is, throughout the entire run it had huge potential. Even in the awful moments I could look past it to see the show "it could be". It definitely lost the plot and the writers were making it up on the fly. If they had properly sat down an outlined a plan for each season it could have been epic. Season 1 felt well planned, it built nicely to a great finale!

Then they just started abandoning plots mid way, rushing others, having twists for the sake of it :fp: forever changing characters motivations from good to evil, generally forcing dull characters to be front and centre rather than try new cast or characters.

Plot twist - sylar wants to become a horse and ends up as a donkey. Meanwhile Peter loses his powers again only for them to return in the form of a talking ghost of his dead brother!!!11 This turns out to be the REAL sylar as the donkey sylar was his long lost twin brother who was really Claire after a sex change.

what did you expect?

yeah i watched every heroes episode up till the end of season 4.

Image

sums up the show

season 1 was literally my favourite thing on TV ever. season 2 was pretty good too. the writers strike really boned it though cause season 3 & 4 was just a shambles.

like where to i begin. every good guy turning bad. mohinder. everyone being mysterious and evil in some way. nathan petrelli doing 180's left right and centre on his allegience. same with sylar. peters evil mum wanting to FEEEEED sylar. :/ claires lesbian time. hiro and ando's "ando being a side character" plot repeating on and on. constant reformations of the company. nicki. no jessica. no tracy. WAIT TRIPLETS? now barbara? matt getting fatter. WHY DOESNT THE PUBLIC KNOW ABOUT PEOPLE WITH ABILITIES BY NOW?!

i could go on.

First cast member revealed -

‘Heroes’ Alum Jack Coleman Set For NBC’s ‘Heroes Reborn’ Miniseries

EXCLUSIVE: HRG is back! Jack Coleman has become the first Heroes co-star to sign on for Heroes Reborn, NBC’s upcoming 13-episode miniseries that reboots the popular 2006 superhero drama series. Heroes Reborn, from Heroes creator Tim Kring, will replicate the basic elements of the show’s first season in which ordinary people were waking up to the fact that they had extraordinary abilities, though the producers are keeping details on the plot under wraps. But I have learned that Coleman will reprise his character as Noah Bennett aka HRG, or the Man in the Horn-Rimmed Glasses, a nickname given to him by fans before the character’s real name was revealed. HRG, a former agent with the Company and father to cheerleader Claire Bennett (Hayden Panettiere), started off as a recurring but quickly became a fan favorite, with Coleman promoted to regular midway through Season 1.

Zachary Quinto was pretty good in it, maybe it was because of his enormous eyebrows but he was really good at looking evil. Pretty much guaranteed he won't be in Reborn though.

Mads Mikkelsen, Benedict Cumberbatch and Zachary Quinto should all be in this as villains working together.
