I'd like them to retcon, well, everything, and start fresh.

They lost the plot in later series by finding a way to shoehorn EVERYONE with powers. Mohinder, Ando, Angela Petrelli etc.

It needed the "normals" to keep it grounded. That and the massive overuse of Sylar! Finding contrived ways to keep him in the plot, same goes for Clare and in fact all the characters. If Kring had kept to his original plan of new cast each year, then maybe they would have had interesting stories to tell.

I watched the whole lot through to the end and I think FatDaz has pretty much nailed it with the whole mess they made trying to keep all the characters in it. Because of the fact they had people like Peter and Sylar who could get anyone's powers, they had to keep coming up with reasons for them to lose their powers or for their powers to change and it just got convoluted and felt almost pointless.

It's a shame because the first season was great. It was probably the first of the bigger American series that I actually followed though so I guess I didn't realise how naff it got at the time.

I'm interested to see what they do with this, you never know.

Is it new characters or some of the originals returning?

Yes?

I'm hoping new characters with the odd cameo from some of the originals (and I mean passing cameo, background stuff not plot related.)

 So true.

Has it strawberry float still got a 'cult following'. Everyone knows Heroes was an absolute car crash after season one ended. Kristen Bell was the only good thing about the show after season two, episode one, minute one, second one. Utter dogwank.

The upcoming reboot of Heroes will launch alongside an online prequel to the series.

NBC announced on Tuesday (April 15) that Heroes Reborn: Digital Series will be among the first series to premiere on the network's website as part of its new original online video push.

"It's exciting to bring original content to the forefront on all of our digital platforms," said Robert Hayes, executive vice president, Digital Media, NBC Entertainment.

"We are lucky to once again be in business with some of the top producers in Hollywood making new content to further engage fans."

NBC announced its intention to revive Heroes in February, though it is still unclear if any previous cast members will return for the new 13-part run.

Robert Knepper, however, has revealed that he is keen to reprise his role of Samuel in the new limited series.

Heroes Reborn will premiere on NBC in 2015.

NBC has confirmed that original stars from Heroes are likely to return for its upcoming event series.

Heroes Reborn will be a 13-episode spinoff series to air in 2015, but an official cast has yet to be announced.

NBC's entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said at a New York presentation that several of the original characters are expected to return.

"Some familiar faces from the show are bound to drop in," he said.

"We have a big mini-series called Heroes Reborn, based on one of NBC's strongest dramas in recent years."

He added: "Its original creator Tim Kring will reboot the show. Plus, we'll ramp into the show with an original online series prior to launch."

Yep.

Still baffled at Kring's involvement, did they learn nothing from the first time?

That fat cop Matt and his annoying girlfriend were always the most irritating part of the original for me, if they're not in it then it will be a vast improvement.

He popped up in LA Noire didn't he? Obviously this was a real career move for him.

Not completely disregarding the original series is an utter shocker. Might watch this just to see how poor it is.

I liked seeing him in L.A. Noire, partly because he didn't look like he was pushing out a painful gooseberry fool every five seconds. :shifty:

I liked his character. I think I liked Peter's brother the best (can't remember his name).

Yes?

My biggest problem was they had to gimp anyone with a cool power. Peter and Hiro were constantly getting nerfed so that they couldn't save the day, which meant there was no point in them.

I didn't mind everyone having a power but they needed to have some sort of balance something so there is a risk to using them or a bad side.

Like X-Men, Rogue can be awesome but she cant touch anyone, Cyclops is all lasers and gooseberry fool but he has to wear glasses.

Something so there is a balance.

Nathan Petrelli's death killed the show for me.

Noah Bennett was always the best character, and the best acted.
