I bought this this morning. Hoping the servers aren't so bad when I finally get a chance to play. Been putting up with that gooseberry fool enough with SFV.

You couldn't make this gooseberry fool up.

I'm getting the same message as you since the update. How can they mess up the online so badly in this game. They should be testing this stuff out.

Looks like Hitman is working online again on PS4.

Yup, I was able to play for a good while tonight without issue. Hopefully the patch sorted out the disconnects.

I'm getting quite used to the disguise system in this now, it's not as broken as I had first thought. They just need to make the weapons feel better (bring back classic hitman aiming) and for strawberry float sake let us zoom in and out with a sniper rifle.

I took the limited sniper rifle to be a side effect of the fact that we will get better ones later. The stuff you unlock for your Mastery are not location locked. So when they drop more levels, including stuff like the Sniper Briefcase, you'll be able to bring them back to Paris.

Which puts the game in a bit of an odd place, since traditionally you don't have the best gear at the start of a Hitman game but since it is episodic people are looking for specific stuff in Paris that they appear to be holding back for later missions. It would suck slightly if you already had the best gear by the time the second bit of content dropped, so I can understand why they've did it. Still, perhaps making items location locked and just letting people get the best gear in the first episode might have been more satisfying in the short term.

I'm fine with the aiming in the majority of cases, but there is a certain sauve-ness to the classic Hitman head pop that is lost with the new system. I think they could do something clever with the analogue triggers in that regard. Light press to bring up the cursor, full press to take the shot. I only miss it for the silverballer kill, so it could be a special single-shot execution animation. :slol:

 Some of the AI is dodgy to say the least.

I actually got about a half an hour of solid playtime in tonight with no disconnects. Then it disconnected twice in minutes and I turned it off. :fp: Will try again on Thursday.

Further evidence they're getting back to classic Hitman. :P

There's a survey being sent out to folks who've played this. It asking for feedback on the game in general and includes this;

It also asks how many times have you been disconnected :fp:

I filled it out myself already so Hopefully they take on board all the feedback, if anyone from the forum gets the survey please mention wanting back the classic dot aiming system.

Anyone else on PC? How's your frame rate? I just ran a benchmark with GFEx's recommended settings and although I was getting 75fps on average, it was noticeably jumpy.

EDIT - Nevermind, I turned the texture quality up and enabled adaptive v-sync and the FPS has really evened out.

Please tell me you can tick all of them?

It's pretty cheeky to have the briefcase in there, since we know from the alpha that it's in the game... just not an unlockable for Paris.

Unfortunately the one feature that is truly "missing" isn't even on that list! Bring back the ability to peek through keyholes!

Yeah I know, it's only a 10% discount. But seriously, strawberry float this practice.

The new pack, "Episode 2: Sapienza", is available for download from the PS Store.

EDIT: There's a 1Gb game update and a 5Gb pack download :o . "Alongside Sapienza comes a sizeable game update that adds a host of improvements to the game for all players. Significantly improved loading times, new options for the HUD and Challenges, menu tweaks and updates – plus a whole lot more."

All that and the game will probably still kick me to the menu after 5 minutes. :fp: Might try it tonight to see if it's actually been fixed.

Sapienza is absolutely amazing. The level is insanely packed full of detail and so many hidden avenues to follow. The streets are sprawling and dense, the mansion is as vast as the Paris building and then I came across the underground area and I could barely believe I'd found another area equal in size to the starting area. I killed my targets in two hours but there are a ridiculous amount of options that I didn't take, so many things that I found but don't yet know how to use and there's probably much, much more that I haven't even discovered yet.

This game is astounding. Best Hitman game to date.

Jesus H, how could a studio who made Absolution come out with something like this?
