I'm prob going to wait till all of it is out before I get back into this.

Is this a good deal for those that picked up episode 1?

If you're interested in Hitman, I'd say get the full pack, right now. The game has so much replayability and content. I racked up 15 hours in Paris alone and I'm certainly not done with it yet. Although I'm not a fan of the episodic structure I really don't have a problem with it in this. The feeling of getting a new level today was so exciting and I know I'll easily spend the month with Sapienza just long enough that I start to get really hyped for the next one.

Any hint of the sniper briefcase being an unlock-able Tragic?

They need to get that back in the game for this to be a true Hitman experience. Looking forward to playing episode 2.

Just downloaded the first part. Enjoyed the boat and training stuff, now playing through Paris. I don't really like these big house missions always seem to be a bit of a free for all when it comes to someone spotting you.

I'm not sure how I feel about the objectives yet either. On the one hand it's nice not to have to faff around wondering how to get to the target, on the other it makes everything rather easy and leaves not a lot up to the player.

Feels like classic Hitman at the moment but that feels a bit outdated. Undecided on whether to get part 2 yet.

If you feel like that then you definitely need to have a look at the options and tailor the game to suit you. You can turn all of the hints and help off completely and I'd highly recommend doing so.

Also, just my two cents but I don't see how Hitman can be described as dated. It's one of a kind and the best use of its systems to date.

And if you're having trouble getting spotted, you need to look out for the white blips above people's heads which will indicate whether they recognise you or not. Again, this is the best implementation of the disguise system ever.

It doesn't really feel any different to play than the first time I played a Hitman about 15 years ago.

Yet there is nothing else like it around today.

Also true. It's why I'm in a weird place and not sure how I feel about it at the moment.

These elusive targets are a really cool addition. Makes for incredibly tense missions inbetween all the larking about. Shame I failed the first one though because of, what I would class as, a glitch.

This game just doesn't seem to be getting the attention it deserves though. It's absolutely brilliant.

In my hurry to make a clean escape, I missed out on Silent Assassin for this weekend's Elusive Target because I got caught on camera and forgot to delete the tapes. :(

I don't like the Paris mission. Anyone else feel like that, I'm not sure if I'm just bored of the mechanics or not in the mood for Hitman or I should just buy Sapienza and see if I get on with it any better.

Sapienza is much more open, no crowded areas. It's a very different kind of Hitman level

New weapon unlocks:

Combat Knife
ICA 19 F/A (Pistol)
Emetic Poison Vial
Remote Explosive Duck
TAC-4 AR Stealth (Assault Rifle)
Proximity CX Demo Block (C4)

They're going to make us pay for the strawberry floating sniper briefcase I just know it.

Enjoying this more now, Sapienza is really nice to wander around. I miss the ratings though, loved working up to that Silent Assassin label. Possibly a good thing they've gone though as I used to spend ages getting it on one mission and would then burn out on the game before ever finishing them. The 5* are a nice indicator you've done well but not necessarily very hard to get on certain set pieces.

The silent assassin rating is still there in the form of the challenges.

Getting well on board with this now, love how much there is to do in Sapienza and how many ways there are to approach everything. The Escalations offer a nice alternate way to see the levels and are nice and gentle in the way they get you to think about how to approach everything. Only real gripe is the bullshit 5th step some of them introduce. Was doing one where I had to eliminate a kitchen worker and I'd got my route down like a strawberry floating boss, each escalation had me plotting new courses and alternate ways to get disguises. Get to the fifth one and its some bullshit about explosive lasers being put all around Sapienza and I have to just find some disarming device. What strawberry floating nonsense.
