No idea. Square have taken the strange choice of not unlocking it till 5pm. For a digital only release it's an odd way to go about. By the time it's unlocked I'll be playing The Division.

That video is amazing

I never thought I'd hear Paul Chuckle ordering the deaths of innocent and unsuspecting painter decorators

If anything it does go a long way to explain how The Chuckle Brothers were able to consistently find employment as painter-decorators.

I bought this yesterday on PSN, does this mean I won't get the requiem pack?

I *think* the Requiem pack was a pre-order bonus, Rabbit. You could check whether you got it by looking at your add-on section of the game in the Cross Media Bar (XMB)?

I was a bit worried about the PC version of this from what I read on Gaf but I was really pleased with how it ran on my system. Granted the first training area still had some frame drop issues the main Paris mission ran perfectly fine, and damn, it looks really nice too.

I did really enjoy what I played of the Paris mission and yeah, this does feel like it has more in common with Blood Money than Absolution but I still wouldn't call it Blood Money 2. The "enforcer" aspect of it still annoys me, it seems awfully random which guard etc will spot you and even when I manged to break the line of sight with one of them I failed to get a silent assassin ranking. The weapons feel gooseberry fool too, with this being an on-going release there is plenty of potential for them to improve the full experience though.

I'm starting to think there's no sniper suitcase in here either.

I wasn't sure about picking this up, but that video has sold me on it entirely.

Do you mean when you're disguised? I think that aspect of it is the best it's ever been in the entire series. In games before this you would get outed by the most random of people, but in this they seem to have carefully chosen who knows who you aren't.

True to a point, I just mean if your disguised as a guard it seems very 50/50 what guards are assigned with elite skills.

Seems like nobody can stay connected to the servers for more than 10 minutes at a time. What a load of gooseberry fool. Why do so many games require that you're online to play offline? It doesn't make any strawberry floating sense. Anyway, I finished the Paris mission offline after about 2 hours. That was a WHOLE lot of fun. This level is strawberry floating massive. Think the Resident Evil Spencer Mansion kind of massive. Of course, none of the challenges I did unlocked because I was in offline mode. Modern gaming is becoming a joke with this nonsense. Hitman and Street Fighter V pulling the same gooseberry fool in less than a month.

It's a shame, because the core game here is strawberry floating brilliant. They need to remedy this always online fuckery ASAP.

The developers are saying part of the reason for the staggered release is to adapt the game to fan feedback so hopefully they'll take note of this.

Yeah, it seems like I've missed out on them but nevermind.

I'm confused about what the PS4 exclusive 'The Sarajevo Six' is. As far as I could tell yesterday it just seems like additional contracts/challenges within the same levels (eg, the Paris fashion show)? I was expecting entirely separate ones.

It's just an extra contract inside the already announced levels.

I've given this a go; I'd not played a Hitman game before and the game style is new to me.

The Intro Pack contains three main areas; two training zones and the Paris mission. I've mainly played the training areas so far and they're pretty big. I love how you can approach the hits however you want to. It feels great when you successfully complete a takedown and you're encouraged to try again using a different style. It can occasionally feel a little bewildering as the open sandbox style means that it isn't always clear on wht you should do, but I enjoy this as it is fun to experiment.

I plan to try varying approaches in the training levels before returning to the Paris stage as that was huge and I think I need to gain a better feel of the game first.

Oh, and one last rather odd point - the look and feel reminds me of Mission Impossible on the N64! Obvs the styling and tech is far better, but the approach and atmosphere draws a slight comparison.

It's a brilliant touch how the training basically teaches new players how to get the most enjoyment from the games, particularly introducing and encouraging the completion of challenges within the same level, that the series is loved for. I've played Hitman since the second instalment and something about this iteration from the very beginning just put a huge smile on my face.

Yeah, on paper the repeated playing of a level sounds dull but the way Hitman implements it means that the player learns new things each time. I'm finding the game a little tough as there seems to be a lot to juggle... but I am enjoying it!

I want to re-do the first training level and work out how to off the target using the toilet and then the machine gun :toot: .
