Sacked off the Soul Master for a while as he was really hacking me off. Managed to scrimp up the cash to purchase the light thingy and headed off into Crystal Peaks. Found Cornifer relatively easily too, which was nice.

I finished finding all the grubs last night, that reward B)

My latest charm loadout is beam sword at full health, regenerating health, wayward compass.

Still got one dreamer left but I'm basically done mopping up everything I know about (I've definitely missed some things) so I'll be heading there v.soon to continue

Currently carrying around 16000 monies

How long is it taking people to finish? I'd heard it can take around 40+ hours...

I'm not so good at going through and getting multiple endings or mopping up collectables so I'll probably only get through it the once, but that's a decent amount of time! Nice.

Just started playing this, and I'm really liking the style of it. The game does a great job of signaling harder areas ahead just through the environment, before you run headlong into enemies that are going to destroy you.

Not really familiar with the Metroidvania genre, so the map and exploration bit feels sort of refreshing, but also frustrating at the same time. By the time I got the map for the first area, I'd already seen most of it, and the rooms that were left didn't have a huge amount to offer. I assume there are bits I'm supposed to come back to later once I've gained more powers?

Also, I freed one of the caterpillars in a jar expecting something to happen, but nothing did.

Visit the room about 3 screens to the left of where you drop in to Forgotten Crossroads.

The consequences of your actions aren't always immediately apparent, and that's something I love about the game.

I finished it around 36hrs but did use a guide at times with 77% completion. The guides don't really help with the bosses as I found you have to develop your own strategies which only happen after many goes at killing them

I love them grubs! They're so cute.

Also I beat the second proper boss, but a couple of mini-bosses smashed me a few times first. Then I figured out their patterns and smashed them.

The combat is so meaty and satisfying.

Well there we are, standard ending acquired.

Unfortunately the stuff I'm missing I have no idea where it is, and I'm not sure there is any way of figuring it out in game except for exhaustively revisiting every location. I might have to resort to internet.

The Soul Master can go and strawberry float himself. Sick to the back teeth of trawling all the way over to him. Those strawberry floating soul teleporter mummy strawberry floaters just do my nut. The damn bench is just too far away.

Aye that was a particularly bad boss run. I gave up and came back when I had some new powers and took him out in a few shots. Bastard.

Actual final boss and final ending done, ~38 hours, I feel damn good about beating it!

Still have the grimm troupe to finish, and I'm not sure I can perservere through the trial of fools. Got all the charms now too, and made all the fragile ones unbreakable. The combination of full power nail and unbreakable strength is amazing.

I give this game 8 out of 8 bugs
