Plot's getting really interesting now. End scene was totally stupid but I guess it was in character for Carrie. Saul needs to be involved more. He's like a secondary character now which is a shame.

Make that four. And yeah, agree with every word of that.

I was fine with the ending. As soon as he entered the room I knew it was time for seduction Carrie as it had been set up previously in the episode and it was typical of her character throughout the series. The bloke being alive was a surprise, maybe he's going to try & blow up the embassy or kill the ambassador.

I stopped watching S3 half way through because it was boring. But this has been good so far.

EDIT: I mistakenly read this thread as UK pace and have now spoilt next episode for myself :fp: . If possible maybe remove the UK part from title?

I didn't know that, that's sad. I was wondering why they hadn't shown him.

I've watched the first two episodes and it's really good! It seems to have found it's feet and distilled what's good about the programme. The Brody story in season 2 and his stupid daughter and wife just hijacked everything. So far this seems to be focused on the intrigue and action and of course a bit about Carrie. Just one thing about episode 2. "Oh my God you're really drunk" and then the big girl riding Quinn! I had my head in my hands on behalf of Quinn but then the scene in the cafe, whilst what was going to happen was signposted a mile away, I thought it was really sweet. I'm interested to see how this friendship plays out.

An ok episode this week. Kinda boring even though a lot happened. Quinn dropping more truth bombs about Carry was awesome. I like he and Fara working together. Good dynamic.

The Saul stuff was a little too coincidental. He should have realized something was up but I guess the writers had to keep him in the show somehow. If anything happens to Saul because of Carrie

A fine episode this week. Some problems though with the new station chief pissing off for 2 days. Also the ex-CIA chief having no back-up. I guess it was a reasonable way to get him to stay plus it was set up earlier. Agree that lovely Fara and Quinn make a good team. The Ambassador stuff was pretty meh.

strawberry float that was gooood. Proper tense stuff. Pretty shocking ending. Did not expect that at only the halfway point of the season.

Wow. That was quite something.

I sort of saw it coming in that it spent far too long with Ayan for him to survive any longer. It's the classic 'goodbye episode' where a character gets a load more screentime because they're going to die soon, but I wasn't sure how it would pan out, and the way it happened in such a cold, matter-of-fact fashion was still shocking. And I didn't expect them to pull Saul out of the car.

I hope they've not shot their bolt too soon, but that was terrific TV.

Pretty good episode although the appearance of Saul was predictable & not being able to follow the car was stupid. Was unsure wether he'd kill the kid so that was slightly shocking. Don't know how they're going to find Saul, maybe via the ambassador's husbands handler.

Oh god, me too. Wow. That was electrifying TV.

Superb stuff, even if Lockhart saying "what's gotten into you?" to Carrie seemed a bit odd, given that she behaves like this all the time.

Yeah that was strange. She's usually a lot worse than that. I'm glad Lockheart is back in the picture and that they've toned down his cartoonish villain behavior from last season.

Well, he was still quite antagonistic in an I'm-going-to-come-here-and-basically-be-a-dick kind of way. I feel that fits with his role, though - you can imagine someone in his (real life) position thinking he can just arrive in another country and boss everyone around. Tied in with what Haqqani was saying about the US later in the episode, too.

Renewed for a 12 episode season - http://www.hitfix.com/whats-alan-watchi ... ith-carrie

Episode 7 -

A good episode but not a fan of the crazy Carrie stuff but it might lead somewhere interesting. I heard that Lewis was back on set so not a massive surprise at his return for me but I'm pleased it was only for a hallucination. Other stuff was good as well

That was great, been a very good season so far.

I was not expecting Damien Lewis at all! It was obvious right away that it was all a hallucination and the guy from Spooks was going to be in the house, but I still loved it.

Episode 6 was absolutely brilliant. Top quality TV. When the boy was back near the mountains lying on that palette joyfully waving his arms, I suspected something was up but soon ignored my feeling because Carrie was watching the satellite pictures - and I thought it was about her observing his innocence!

And 7 with interesting. I like that we get to see a Haqqani's human side and the discussion with him and Saul about the 9/11 terrorists being Saudi Arabian yet the USA didn't invade there! So glad Brody was a hallucinationand I really hope the US traitor gets his comeuppance.

Another fantastic episode this week. Proper tense/espionage stuff. Classic Homeland. The scene directing Saul by phone, holy gooseberry fool!

Please everyone, come back! This show is really strawberry floating good again!
