Please everyone, come back! This show is really strawberry floating good again!

Well, OK. Added to my weekly binge list. I actually really enjoyed the latter half of season 3, have just been put off by mixed reactions to the new season elsewhere.

Another great episode, thought for sure that was the end of Saul. I dread to think what's ahead for him.

Oh my God yes! I started off watching it tired and slumped in my woman's lap - that soon changed. From the minute Saul acquired the nails it got interesting and started moving so fast. I was literally, real literally, on the edge of my seat throughout the whole escape, town, market place section. When Saul sat down in the courtyard and Carrie was trying to coax him, it was almost too much. Considering his fate it was a sweet condolence that she found out about ambassador's husband. Epic.

Are you a toddler?

I was actually clinching my fist hoping Saul would not pull the trigger.

The political side was intense, they all sat next to each other knowing they are actually playing each other.

Can anyone tell me what the text message said that the lady got in arabic? It seemed like some sort of confirmation.

The bitch, working inside the Pakistani government wrote an instruction on a napkin for the ambassador's husband - did the programme reveal what?

This week's ep may well have been the best episode of the entire show. Holy gooseberry fool, my heart was pounding for the last 20 minutes. The tension!

This is now the best season of the show, surpassing season 1 for me.

There's no new episode next week, what a bunch of bullshit, especially after THAT cliffhanger! Thanksgiving is Thursday, why the hell are they postponing a show on Sunday?

I really got back into this on Friday, watching 6 episodes in a row. It really is a brilliant season.

BLIMEY CHARLIE, that was absolutely brilliant.

:x at having to wait two weeks for that cliffhanger to be resolved, though.

That was absolutely brillant from start to finish! I'm liking this season more than first!

At first I thought they'd killed Carrie and Saul as there's no way they could have survived that attack, but on re-watching that scene it looks like their car did actually escape relatively unscathed. It was obvious that something big would happen, especially when Carrie told Quinn to stay at the embassy, but I just love the way they dragged the tension out across half of the episode and fed us with constant red herring's at the prisoner exchange. Then once that eventually completes successfully they bombard us with the sudden twists.

The two week wait is going to be painful, but I did expect it as my housemate watches at C4 pace and he's two week's behind instead of the usual one week with previous seasons.
Glad I didn't have to sit through ads during this episode though, that would completely ruin it.

I'm looking forward to this ep after hearing your opinions, but it's going to have to be really good to be better than today's Good Wife.

4x09- Great episode. Quinn being left in the embassy hopefully means the next episode is basically Die Hard to get us all in the Xmas spirit.

What an episode. Don't know how they keep doing it but each episode is more tense than the previous.

Alkani walking in the tunnel like a mummy strawberry floating bad ass. I'm not digging his fake wrinkles though

Superb!

I love that the embassy attack only took up half the episode and then they skip forward a few hours. It was brutal and tense but without outstaying it's welcome and turning into a poor episode of 24. They've got a really good pace going with the show at the moment.

Best moment was with Quinn at the end: "strawberry floating drive" followed by the torture room  8-)

Worth the wait.

Fara. I'm not just sad because I liked her, but I felt her character had real narrative potential.

But yeah, Quinn is brilliant. The preview for next week's ep...

That was...underwhelming. It felt like it was over before it started. Fara's death was terrible and a real waste of character who I feel like had a lot left to give and was under utilised. Quinn could have (and should have, given what we know he's capable of) reacted far quicker to diffuse the situation. But the writers needed there to be some emotional fallout from the brief siege and instead of creating a situation where it should have happened naturally, this felt really artificial.

The episode left everything in a good place going forward but man, what a deflating first half.
