Netflix's horror genre is pretty bad.

Want to watch one tonight but cant find good ones.

Paranormal Activity
Carrie
Candyman
The Mist
Blair Witch
Drag Me to Hell
Child's Play

Not critical darlings, but not terrible.

An American Werewolf in London
Poltergeist
REC 1 and 2
House of the Devil
The Last Exorcism
Stakeland

Do you often contemplate the complexity of life?

Theres one or two eye rolling moments, and some of the CGI looks gooseberry fool now, but overall, I love that film. Definitely worth a watch

Just finished, pretty much agree with what you wrote here. It really still holds up, visually. The set designs are fantastic. Dodgy CG aside and an awful ending that was pretty damn good.

Watched it a few weeks ago. Some completely ridiculous moments that just destroy the atmosphere, but overall a pretty good film. Better than people make out.

Can we have less lists and more discussion in this thread please.

The trouble I had with Even Horizon is that Paul W.S Anderson wouldn't know subtly if it slapped him across the face. Instead of building the atmosphere, it just ended in a big farce. I was genuinely impressed with the set design, sure it ripped off the Alien template but atleast looked the part. The big finale, honestly go listen to the sound effects in the fight scene, I just cracked up.

Massive fan of horrors, though can't help but feel like I've mined the genre pretty much to extinction.

Shame The Conjuring isn't out on DVD yet, I missed that at the cinema. I have also watched most of the Netflix offerings but, as DBlock says, the selection isn't great.

Tomorrow night I'm going to go for The Mist (Netflix) and The Thing (original, BluRay), I think.

Or, more likely, watch one then fall asleep, as tends to be the way on school nights.

Yes, that bit in particular, but it's still making me laugh so I'm glad it was there.

The Exorcist tonight. Somehow I've never seen this before. It was fantastic. That little girl is an amazing actor.

Some of my favourites are Zombie Flesh Eaters, the Evil Dead trilogy (especially Evil Dead 2), Braindead, Candyman, Hellraiser, Halloween, The Blair Witch Project (incidentally also one of my favourite films of all time) and Audition.

Put me down for Grave Encounters. Takes a while to get going but then it just goes full on batshit crazy.
