That blackcoats daughter film is awful. I saw it last year on Netflix under a different name. Don't even think I was able to finish it if I remember correctly, just so dull.

I saw the trailer, I think it looks bloody awful?! So you say it's good? I may have to try it?

I'm pretty much the same, I'm in my 40's, horror fan and to be honest I find it hard to discover decent horror movies these days.

Went last year and had a blast with people like Pin head and the guy who plays Jason in attendance.

This year it's in May at the same venue magenta science museum hull.

Have to agree when I'm off work I can watch between 5-10 horror films and might be lucky to find one that's half decent.

The genre is great having so many good sub genres but zombie and possession films are so over saturated.

I don't even bother with zombie films now: TWD has become such a parody of itself (though I still watch and enjoy it) that I really CBA to watch any more. Having said that, I do fancy Train to Busan so will watch that soon.

Train to Busan is excellent for me it's more the camera work and the sense of tension in this film more the impending threat.

I generally find films grounded in realism to be scarier like home invasion films like You're Next.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe was really good as well.

Ouija: Origin of Evil is also a notable choice.

Yeah I enjoyed The Autopsy Of Jane Doe.

A lot of friends didn't rate it but I loved the atmosphere and the story it was telling with a simple setting of a moruge.

I mentioned Extraterrestrial on another thread. A few years old and pretty silly but genuinely unnerving at times and well worth a watch

Decent horror really is hard to find, but if I think of any hidden gems I'll come back to this thread.

Each to their own. I'm still going to give it a watch, dark and dreary is cool with me.

Still need to watch The Eyes of my Mother and The Autopsy of Jane Doe, they are on my watch list. You guys might be interested in the following:



Looks similar to Shutter Island. I'll give it a watch, not particularly excited by it, the 2 and a half hour running time has me a bit worried

Saw the trailer for that when I went to see Resident Evil last week.

It seemed to come off as a serious attempt at Slither or something.

Slither Island.

This is the next film I hope to see.
