For better or worse I've decided to watch sequels to some of my favourite part 1s. Figure I might as well have informed opinions. The chucky sequels were fun if real stupid. Curse of chucky got it back on track though.

Going through Halloween just now, up to part 5. These are inoffensive, but pretty boring so far. I did like part 2 a fair bit. I knew 3 wasn't canon and I think if you know that going in you can at least tolerate it.

After I'm done with Halloween I'll move on to the Jason sequels. That includes the Jason vs guff.

There are definitely precious few franchises that stand up past installment two or so. Most have got an alright sequel dotted in there somewhere, but it's pretty much diminishing returns from the original outwards.

Except Final Destination...

Give the 'House' series ago as well. They're horror/comedy (in the same vain as Evil Dead) the second film isn't very good and the third, if I remember right, got quite gory in places?!

good luck with the Jason ones ,some of them are pretty bad, jason X is hilarious but wasn't trying to be.I actually really enjoyed Freddy vs Jason, this did take the mick out of itself and was a fun watch.

Freddy vs Jason does have some outstanding Monica Keena-in-a-white-vest action, too. :datass:

It's definitely horror film season. Going to trawl Amazon in a bit to see if there's anything good/cheap I've not seen.

Bit disappointed by Netflix's lacklustre current horror offering. Hoped Amazon Prime Instant might have been better stocked, but it's not.

Seen a few on Netflix I'll watch. Nightmare on Elm Street, Evil Dead 2, Scream. I'm sure there was something else.

i didn't even know about that till now. I'm amazingly out of the loop with film news.

I just watched the trailer and that looks brilliant.

degoose wrote:Yeah It Follows is good, i dunno about it being full on scary but it is a bit creepy and weird. It kind of gives you a weird sense of nervousness. I watched another small budget horror film recently as well called Creep (not the london underground one) and even though it's another docu camera film it's really interesting . It's all based around this guy who hires a docu/film maker for one day for a 1000 dollars to basically just film him and then things get interesting.

i forgot to provide a trailer for creep.

A good watch if you get a chance to see it/download it.The main guy is as it says a creep , a very strange guy and well acted.

and here is one more i watched but forgot to say about
