Res Evil on Gamecube?

Still one of the best looking games ever, the lightning coming through the hallway/dining room windows has yet to be matched.

That's the one. I didn't know about Crimson Heads when I first played.

I strawberry floating learnt though.

Did you have any idea they where coming? Cause I strawberry floating didnt.

And I was expecting the dogs too, and not the bloody zombies to follow me through the house, I remember upon successfully running away from one of those tossers, onto the other side of the door...breathing a huge sigh of relief only for the strawberry floater to burst through it. :o

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Not scary, just atmospheric.

I have such a ridiculous nervous disposition about games that are even remotely scarey, I never made it past maybe the 3rd/4th section of map in that game. :(

It scared me too

When i replayed it on Wii it was a lot less scary. I think having more precise control took some of the fear away.

Not scary, just atmospheric.

On that note though, System Shock 2.

It's old now, and looks it, but it somehow manages to retain every inch of atmosphere in spite of its technology. It's also rock hard, and has monkeys. Oh dear lord, the monkeys!

Silent Hill 2 has the better atmosphere, but not the shocks.

It's a different style of horror, that's why.
For me though, nothing (and i mean nothing) in any game/film/whatever has actually scared me - except for Pyramid Head. He just has this immense presence that commands fear, that moment when I saw him in Homecoming just made my heart pound and I hoped I wouldn't have to face him.

Balls to that, SS2 is the scariest game I've ever played! The monkeys alone are terrifying, but add in the midwives, the hybrids, those damn protocol droids and you've got one hell of a jump-fest. It also helps that the gameplay and story are top notch.

Do it.

Rinks - Apologies, though I thought most people knew it anyway. I've now edited the post to remove said spoiler, sorry again.

The opening in the village was a bit scary. I remember frantically scrambling into the house to hide from Dr. Salvador, while ganados were piling in through the windows. After that tho it was nowhere near being scary. Cept maybe for the regenerators.

True, far less so after Chapter 1.

No, I meant it was scary, unlike Bioshock. It had an incredible atmosphere too, which just made things worse. It's the only game I've played that terrified me so much, I actually couldn't play it any more.

That was probably the only scary section/level in the entire game. :(

It's a really shame as some of the levels were perfect for some pant crapping scares...the abandoned toy factory is just one example. :(

Yeah condemned 2 was such a wasted opportunity. There was not ONE section of the game that came even close to matching the shopping mall in condemned 1. Now THAT was gooseberry fool yer bags scary

The mannequin level? Nope, the end scary house did it for me, as for the condemned 2 slamming, what about the cop building? The cabin was awesome, the doll factory was pathetic. But I loved number 2 more than number 1 and the appearence of the mannequins in 2 was a nice nod to the original.

Hope there will be a third.
