I have to disagree. I don't see why the The Americans is getting so much praise. House of Cards makes it look so amateurish.

To each their own, they're very different series. The Americans is only a few episodes in so room to get better/worse, we shall see. Doesn't help that I'm binging on The West Wing at the moment for the 1st time.

The distribution model of HOC doesn't help with everyone on different episodes with no room for a weekly discussion/digesting of good points, bad points, plot points, anticipation and theories.

Yeah that's true, having it all at once definitely impacts the impression a show makes on you. Think I'll check back in The American a few episodes down the road when I blaze through a couple of them at a time. Has a lot of potential.

Finally got round to start watching this. Liked Episode 1 and looking forward to making my way through the season

One of the best things I've seen in years. It eats through ideas and storylines within the first half a dozen episodes that I've seen other shows (badly) string out across several seasons. Spacey is sublime and having the entire run there to watch 'as you please' from the off is a massive stride forward for television.

Just watched this too,I stopped watching half way through the last episode for a few weeks as I could see something like this happening, cant believe they did it in that manner too. Murder seems totally out of whack with the rest of the show

3 in now, I have to say I am really enjoying this series so far. Spacy is fantastic!

We saw episode 6 (I think) last night wherehe breaks the teacher's strike. The scene at the end where he wound up the union leader was great!
