First HOTD arcade game since HOTD 4 (2005), 13 years ago!

I hope this comes to consoles. Would be my first HotD game!

I love these games

My local Tenpin bowling alley also has HOTD4 which I still play.

Recently went to the Horror walk-through experience at Blackpool Pleasure Beach (thoroughly recommend it), at the exit there's a creepy old bar with this in the corner.

Our local bowling centre has a reasonably good selection of arcade cabinets which they do update. Hopefully this will eventually find its way there. Love a bit of HotD.

Same here, most of the games are form the last 5 years, there's a lot of Namco games, so it's nice to see Sega coming back onto the scene.

The vast majority are lightgun and driving, the old joystick & 3 button stand up cabinets seems to have completely disappeared outside Japan.

Better have ultra cheesy voice acting.

I've just remembered the sloth boss in HOTD3, what a massive prick blatantly designed to empty wallets.

A few years ago this would have been really popular, they might have missed the boat though.

I want to suffer like G did :toot: .

Still got HotD 2, 3 and Overkill on the Wii and they're ace. I miss lightgun games.

Do lightguns even work on modern TV's?

Nope, but HOTD Overkill and Time Crisis 4 on PS3 used Move.

I would like to play this, but I probably won't get the chance

Nope, you need a CRT. Modern ones all use wiimotes/PS move controllers anyway though

Following the literal (LITERAL!) plethora of great "lightgun" games on the Wii, I was a bit disappointed that there weren't any on the Wii U. The Wiimotes were excellent for shooting action - even on modern TVs.

My main problem with wiimote lightgun games is the aim drifting out and the need to recalibrate. I liked playing HOTD overkill and Ghost Squad without the aiming reticule, but it just wasn't accurate enough most of the time to shoot where you were actually aiming.

Obviously with the reticule it is fine.

Overkill was amazing and i'm glad they used it for the new Typing of the Dead too.

This is why I never understood the sensor bar. They should have made it 4 points that connect to each corner of the screen you're using.
