How Ironhide got his gaming groove back: round 2

As most of you guys know, I have been unable to use a gamepad or keyboard for several years now due to having progressive Muscular Dystrophy. This has greatly reduced the variety of games I can actually play and enjoy and has completely ruled out gaming on a console.

Until I saw this:

Anyway, a few months back I was talking with my Occupational Therapist about various ways in which I could use a computer without using a mouse (I now have difficulty with this) and the Integra mouse + as seen above was suggested to me.

I tried it last week and despite an initial getting used to, it seems extremely promising and as it also functions as an analog joystick should allow me to get back into console gaming using a setup like this:

:toot:

Ironhide, man, this is excellent news! I knew that you had some challenges with your dexterity but I hadn't realised that you were unable to use a keyboard. This new device could be terrific once you have been able to practice and get used to how it works.

I noticed that the video mentioned compatibility with PS3 and 360... would it also work with PS4 and XBO, too? It's gonna be so cool to see you talking about playing a few console games :D .

Oh, and just to say that the second vid didn't work for me so in case anyone else has that problem, here it is.

There is a newer version of the Cronus device that works with the PS4/Xbone so if I get on with my existing consoles then I'll definitely be getting a PS4 at some point in the near future.

Keep us posted on how it goes, dude - I look forward to seeing your username pop up on my PS4 activity feed :toot: .

If you don't mind me asking, do you currently use a similar device to mimic mouse and keyboard inputs?

I currently use an onscreen keyboard and an old Microsoft mouse which has now been discontinued.

It works alright(ish) but isn't ideal.

I'm really pleased for you. Don't do a Jawa and a) play shite games and/or b) play good ones for about 20 minutes.

Play dark souls with it

In fact, if you did that I bet you'd make some decent money on the video from it being a unique take on it.
