How many mince pies could you eat for MONEY?

Serious discussion as we approach the festive season. If you got £10 for each mince pie after the first 6....

How many sweet mince pies could you eat in one sitting?

You get prep time, access to a microwave and can choose the brand.

I'd go Morrisons bakery, massive cup of coffee and I think I could do 18 before the sickness kicked in.

At a a guess, I reckon I could maybe do 30. But £40 wouldn’t be the right incentive for me to do so.

Oooo I could do 15, maybe 20 in one sitting.

I don't think that I could eat more than two mince pies in a sitting! I'm not gonna be challenging for victory here.

3 months or so ago when I was 19 stone I think id have got to 40 if I had super super pushed it and had plenty of coffee to wash it down with and was not worried about feeling like poop later..... Now I think id struggle with 10 in one go as my tummy is just not used to it. 117 days of eating 1400 calories or less has made me not used to that kind of thing.

As a kid I was once asked to leave unlimited Pizza Hut for eating too much, they literally offered me a voucher for a free meal to leave the all you can eat time...

Do I have to give any of the money back if they come back up?

Just to clarify... It's £10 for each mince pie after 6. So if you each 10 then £40 quid for you.

If you're sick then you've still technically eaten them, so you get to keep the cash.

I'm upping my original estimate, I think I could do 26. The following few hours wouldn't be fun but I'd have 200 to spend. Probably buy loads of mince pies...... :fp:

I don't think I could eat more than 6, so I'd make no money.

I definitely reckon I could eat 20 or even 30 mince pies in a row, particularly for money, but just for fun isn't out of the question.

Fantastic, I've some credit card debt to clear, so I'll be making my way through 136 please!

If I don’t get paid until #7 the answer is zero. But even if I got paid at #1 I’d probably have to think twice about whether I’d debase myself by eating something so disgustingly Sassenach for a mere tenner.

Ah yeah, I misread it as £10 for every six after the first set. Yes, for £240 I’d smash 30 pies.

Id forgot about that episode of the Simpsons ... some of the earlier episodes were absolutely amazing.

During my teens I'd easily have eaten 12 or more mince pies in one sitting.

Nowadays I'd struggle with two.

I think I'd struggle to get through a standard six pack in one sitting. I like them a lot but I don't think I could manage many.
