Yes. And I wasn't being entirely serious. They are rare mind you, I was confused when I paid lunch with a fiver and got two notes back.

You can sell them on ebay for more than one pound. I miss seeing them

I used to get £1 notes as pocket money and when we moved from Scotland to England I tried to spend them. Used to get the manager called out every time I tried to buy sweets with one at Safeway.
