PostHow to order a 360 data transfer kit?

I'm thinking of picking up a new HDD as my 20gb one is getting a bit full (plus I'd want to install a couple of games) and need a transfer kit, but I seem to be coming up empty on xbox.com as there seem to be plenty of pieces about how to use them, but nothing detailing how to bloody order one!

Anyone got any ideas, or links?

Thanks,
Gaz (not the gay guy who used to post on here  )

Phone up support and ask them for one. IIRC, they'll want to know the serial number of your old drive, the new drive and your Xbox.

Ah, thought it was just an online thing. D'oh! :fp:

Thanks, I'll get right on that once I've bought my HDD.

It is crazy that they don't actually include the kit to transfer data from your old drive when buying a new one.

They did with the 120gb ones, but you can't find them new anywhere these days. Well, not without paying through the nose for them. :(

There's a thread only a few down from this one with people giving them away
I've got one for you, if you'd like it.

We also started a thread in the trading forum for forum 'owned' one. I think Aaronay had it last but he might've passed it on. Anyway, should be easy enough to get one from someone on here.

Turns out we actually have a couple at work. :fp: They sent them to us for when the Super Elites came out, only they came with the wrong disc (they sent us the disc for upgrading to 120gb instead of 250gb) so it means I can use one of them!

Thanks for the advice and offers of help though, truly appreciated.

I currently have the forum Transfer cable (from Grumpy Dave last). Someone with 1 post asked for it last (but I ignored that request). If any - reasonably - well known/trusted members need it next, let me know in a PM. :)
