No reason at all other than I wanted to pick someone other than the RNG

It's less of a misunderstanding, moreso just that any straw I can grasp is better than nothing imo

True, there is very little to go on thus far!

I know it's a Tuesday afternoon but it does seem ominously quiet as well. The bots are presumably laying low?

I'm not sure where the RNG killing off an inactive tech is coming from, I didn't see that reading through the first few posts?

In Karl's first post it says if no-one is chosen someone will be randomly killed, but says nothing about inactivity

Cheers, I read that bit of the OP - I was asking specifically about the inactive tech part as I didn't see that anywhere.

Someone used a mod to post anonymously in the thread, a big all caps post a couple pages back. In it they suggested we don't know whether Karl's RNG kill would be truly random or limited to inactives.

Browsing this thread at work is killing my phone battery and also my productivity.

I know I'm getting way ahead of myself but I'd like to put myself forward as a candidate for the champion vote this evening

I think we can mostly disregard that entire post. If somebody has a mod that let’s them post in the thread like that, then how would they know anything else about the game at this stage?

That post was either somebody messing about, or it was one of the bad guys trying to confuse us.

I agree they didn't actually have any insider knowledge and it was pure speculation, although I'm sure there have been games in the past where RNG kills were generally inactives? Was that always specificied in the rules beforehand?

I've now found the post - not sure how I missed that.

Anyway, I'd tend to think that there are some good points in there - it seems odd that the nanomod would ONLY be to post anonymously, without some other information having been already imparted to that player. Otherwise it's a waste of a mod, surely?

I think usually it has been specified, but this is Karl’s game and he has said it is going to be different and will mix things up a bit. I don’t think previous games will help us much.

I also had that nanomod and there was no other information given to me. So unless they are a hacker then I don't think they have any further information.

My thinking is it was used by someone who wanted to see how the mod worked.

Caught up a bit. Seems like a cool premise. Not sure how long I’ll be around up till 8pm as I’m working and might not be free. I’ll try and vote if I can

I swear every first day is the same old RNG argument.

I feel like if we come up with reasons why people are going, then at least people come out in support or in rebellion of these ideas. It's harder to argue for and against a dice roll.

If this is my last breath, I blame Hexx.
