Eurogamer wrote:Hyrule Warriors, like every Musou game, is an acquired taste. But here, dressed in Zelda's pea-green livery, with the series' attendant tinkling melodies, idiosyncratic characters and memorable locations, it's unusually friendly and engaging. The genre is often unfairly criticised for being a mindless power fantasy in a medium that specialises in mindless power fantasies. But Hyrule Warriors rewards thoughtful play and demands a strategic approach that transcends the brute force combo-strings of its moment-to-moment gameplay. The marriage of Zelda and Musou is an unexpected success, then - a game that recounts the Zelda myth not just in a new way, but in a whole new language.

Dynasty Warriors are, um, 'okay' but the novelty wears off quite quickly.

So not all that much to get excited about.

This looks utter gash.

Why doesn't Link's body block the light coming out of that chest?

Looks like a Wii game.

Dyntasy Warriors were strawberry floating shite, Nintendo. Why you do this? Why would you let Tecmo have Zelda for strawberry floating sake?

Might as well give up the next Mario game to Sega and have Mario run through the levels at 100mph.

Dynasty Warriors was always a bit of shallow fun lacking personality. Maybe the Zelda license could turn it into a fun one off?

They've got something of a cult following.

Not great games but harmless fun with buddies.

It looks rubbish because the point of Dynasty Warriors, in so far as it has one, is to have three or four players on screen at once surrounded by HORDES of enemies.

Having never played a Dynasty Warriors game before, I was rather intrigued by this...

I'll just do some research to see if it is THAT bad...

I'm sure Nintendo will adhere a measure of quality control over their prized asset. It will probably be a fun action romp.

I agree, they're not going to repeat the CDi mistake again.

Isn't dynasty warriors pretty big in japan? Are they not just doing this for the home crowd?

Doesn't look great. As with the Dynasty Warriors games, it'll probably be fun for about an hour and then get incredibly repetitive and tiresome. Surely there are more interesting/creative spin-offs that could come from the Zelda universe.
