I realise my words mean nothing as I myself have not been in a situation where I've had my ass handed to me by a minor, but I think I would have caused some bodily harm to the yoof! if the shoe was on the other foot. I'd have taken the first couple like you did, then try to restrain him, if that didn't work, I'd knock him the strawberry float out.

Worst case scenario everyone else was too pissed to be a witness.

I think you should've tried it, Scotty, but maybe you've not been in those situations before, maybe you did what you thought was best.

Never the less, when someone flips out, it doesn't matter how tough you are, it's hard to match up to that wild behaviour unless you really feel the need to defend yourself. My little brother and I have had some mad fights. Only a few months back he gave me some real shots to the face. I was blacking out all over the place.

Remember to break both his legs as soon as he's an adult.

If you sue, could the mother get done for neglect as she was too incapacitated to look after him at a party where adults were very drunk? Maybe 14 too old for that.

I got jumped by a bunch of 14/15/16 year olds when I was in my late 20's. I made the mistake of getting off at the wrong bus stop and walking through them. First a sly punch, then a kick, then another punch, then a rain of punches, then a bottle over the head. I think they were a bit spooked by my non retaliation and also that I totally ignored them all, just kept strolling on as if nothing were happening. It was when I had walked through it all that I turned around and stared at the one who hit me over the head with the bottle that I saw their bravado drain from them.

Didn't lay a finger on any of them but they shat themselves. 8-)

Then I turned around and carried on my way.
