Battlestar Galactica reboot was phenomenal.

Nolan's Batman films, aside from Catwoman being shoehorned into the third film. Still can't figure out what her role in the story was.

Dredd. The 90's Judge Dredd had some good imagery, but Dredd utterly destroys it in every other department.

Same goes for top quality disaster movies.

2012 :datass:

I said top quality disaster movies.

Someone in my previous job lent me the DVD as a joke. Said it was amazing

Easily one of the worst movies ever.

I wouldn't say it was one of the worst ever, it was bollocks yes, but at least it was reasonably entertaining bollocks.

I'd say it was a 5 or 6/10 sort of movie.

The ending was a bit gooseberry fool though.

Evil Dead film was better than the late 80s one imo
I got slated for this opinion at work from colleagues who are big fans of the original haha

Do you mean the early 80s one? Wrong on both counts anyway.

Yes?

Trouble is the big reveal was a hard act to follow. I guess they ended it as well as they could.

Better than the ending to the original. Galactica 1980, truly terrible.

Oh yeah and I loved Blade Runner 2049, but in no world is it better than the original.

Ah, it was alright, I thought. But it could've been better. You can tell they really didn't have a long term plan for the plot.

Nope.

Yep.

I think I'd rather hear a cat being swund to the tune of Taylor aswifts songs than actually listening to the real thing.

I'd love to see a version that takes place in the late Victorian era, as originally intended, and no silly heroic action sequences either.

I want a live action movie of Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds

The BBC are currently making a 3-part adaptation of WotW which is set during the Edwardian era. A little later than Wells's original late-Victorian setting, yes, but since it's the BBC, there's a good chance that any action scenes will be a little less bombastic than a Hollywood production.

Being the BBC means there will also likely be a whole bunch of political preaching too.

I suspect the aliens will invade to stop edwardian brexit.
