Scored free-running could work. They could set up a course and score people much like gymnastics for difficulty of route/moves and points for how well the routine/run was completed.

I'ts an interesting looking game, but why would you need to sell your house to make it. It's a table some plywood and some rubber balls. Hardly a space mission.

How about a straight forward time trial over a free running type course? Or both events, speed and display.

BJJ would be a good one, it isn't too violent IMO. I never understood why Golf isn't the olympics, it's very much a globally played sport. I agree with the other posts, Equestrian events are a bizzare sport to keep, but I suppose there would be an uproar if they took it out. Also handball is there so why not Rugby? Probably because Americans wouldn't like it much.

I can understand rugby, it's played around the world and is watchable, I just don't enjoy it

Rugby 7s is quite a different beast. Fair enough if you don't enjoy it but if you've not seen it, it definitely isn't a cut down 15s rugby, it's different tactics, more athletic/faster and easier to see what's going on.

Rugby 7s is perfect for the Olympics.

Very exciting and it doesn't have a major event to compete with. I know there's a 7s World Cup but I don't think it's major enough to argue it shouldn't also be in the Olympics.

Only downside is the number of countries that play it especially as you'll lose Wales, England and Scotland....hopefully we'll do a Lions esque team in Rio though.
