I live in Cornwall. Yay, etc. It really is the hound's testicles.

Also, Ginsters are rubbish. Rowe's all the way!

Whereabouts in Cornwall are you going Cal?

Somewhere called 'Lower Downgate'. It's hilly. But impossibly picturesque.

When I was at the London Aquarium I watched 'feeding time for the Piranhas'. Just amazing. Lots of large pieces of chicken dropped into the tank. Cue a huge frenzy of vicious-looking fish ripping it all to shreds, and lots of small, terrified kids backing nervously away from the oversized tank...

That happens to be where my aunt and uncle live, and also 2 miles from where my parents live and where I live when I'm not at university.

So, it seems, I am doing pretty much the same thing during the bank holiday weekend as you are.

Like yourself, I'll be in Cornwall.

So, you going to pop inand see me then? :D (I admit Lanner is not exactly close to Plymouth).

I have an impending deadline (due for Tuesday morning), so I'll be tied to my PC and MS Word putting the finishing touches to it. So nothing too exciting for me this bank holiday weekend. :(

Big up your ma, Cal.

As for me:

Friday - Getting high on MDMA for the first time round my mate Rob's with my rest of my long-time buddies. First time in over 3 years The Original 6 will be back together. Lots of music and deep conversion is what I'm promised. Oh, and a really good wee!

Saturday - Hanging out with the lads. Watching Planet Earth, no doubt, and The Lost Land of The Jaguar if there's any interest.

Sunday - Bike riding, if my bike arrives by then.

Monday - Same as Sunday, I hope.

For pure awesomeness you cannot beat a Rowe's cheese and bacon pasty. Brilliant for breakfast too.

I really want one now. :(

Mrs Rowe was lovely. They've kept the tradition going nicely.

Not a huge amount. Just relaxing here and making the most of the time off.

Got a four day weekend next weekend so will probably do something more significant with that.

I shall be going to Battersey power station to wonder around before they close it to the public ( exciting, i know), i'm hoping to get some great pictures. I'd be fearful of driving outside of london on a bank holiday, i can only imagine how jammed the roads will be going out and coming back in again on sunday * shudder*.

Sorry to hear about your mum. I went to cornwall nearly every holiday when I was a child, it shut down the place where we used to go two years ago, sold for housing development. Bloody annoying as the place was fantastic.

I enjoyed every holiday, we always managed to see new stuff and it was wonderful having a cream tea while sitting on Charlestown's Pier, oh I miss Cornwall.

Thanks for all the kind words about my dear old Mum. I don't see her much, what with me living and working up in London, but it kinda brings you down to earth with a bump when you realise one of your parents is terminally ill.

Anyway, enough of this morbidity - it's the Bank Holiday and mine begins tomorrow! I'm definitely going to go mad on the Cornish Pasties while I'm away - and I'll be having more than a few on behalf of those of you who couldn't attend!

Luckily for me, my friend's son (12) has an XBox 360 Elite (on my informed advice), so I'll at least not be deprived of some next-gen gaming. The kid frowns when I push him out the way, but WTF? He should feel honoured his favourite 'kindly, but slightly odd, and inappropriately over generous uncle' has paid him a goddam visit!

Plus I have the company of two ridiculously cute pussy cats to look forward to! That's good therapy, right there.
