If he's going to stay here then he needs some sort of immovable mark of shame.

Did a Vesp on the secret santa, except he stuck around rather than running away.

Incidentally, Vesp is still about.

Please no, dont let it be so.

LA :fp: Nobody will care about your words unless you actually bother to send the SS gift. Seven summed up it perfectly.

Vesp :fp: :fp:

Surely Vesp should be banned as well for multiple accounts considering this isn't the first time. If he must post on here just stick to the vesp account and accept the banta/hate you're gona get off some members. And if you can't then just leave. Nothing more sad than creating a new account every few months, posting like someone who obviously isn't a n00b and then leaving when everyone rumbles you. :fp:

Lonely Angel wrote:So I'm making this topic. And you might say, its too little too late, to make a topic like this? And maybe it is, I don't know. But i've had some experiences this year, that have convinced me, to change the things I did wrong, if I can. And I can change this. Why now, since I've been hovering in GGC for a while? Well let me explain.

Start of the year, I was just basically..... not giving a gooseberry fool about anything. I wasn't doing anything at all. I was gonna fail my exams, I was putting weight back on, and I didn't care. But on one occasion, just by chance, in March I saw one my brother at a family meal, the one that lives with us. He's twenty. He had a million opportunities in life. He went to LIPA twice. He's never not been to a private school. He's been through 5 jobs. But he's never done anything. And now he's just fat. Like really fat. And he thinks he's awesome. Its pathetic. And he has no friends, cos he never solved problems, he just ignored them. And I decided(not right at the moment) to... not be that. Get some friends. Keep them. Do well in exams. go to university. Get a job. Do something with my strawberry floating life. So I got friends. Got a job. Got a girlfriend. Put the work into my exams. I'm actually doing... something. and my brothers put more weight.

And I went back, and I apologized. To the teachers I told were dickhead communists cos I was an immature prick. To the guy who I spread rumors about in year 10. To the girls I perved on. And now my exams are over, I'm here. To right my wrongs, whatever you call it.

And maybe it is too late. But I have to try. First of all, I'm sorry. I'm so strawberry floating sorry. For being such a dickhead. For destroying the trust a community like this builds. I know calling myself a dickhead fixes nothing. But I am. I liked a lot of you guys. And I was just a stupid, selfish, dick. And words don't fix things. By themselves. But if you guys will let me, I want to try, and fix things. If I owed anyone anything(I've got an idea of who i did) tell me, and I will sort something out. And if I owe you an individual apology, you'll get one. Deadpool especially, I'm really sorry.

You might say this is too late, you're a banana split, its only an internet forum. Yeah it is. But its a great community. And I'm trying to fix these things. So, thanks for reading.

I'm not expecting forgiveness. I just want to put things right, if I can.

Noes summarized up well:
Oh Teh Noes wrote:The fact that at this stage you still don't realise that all we want you to do is just send Deadpool a gift shows that you really haven't matured as much as you think.

So just get it done. It doesn't have to be overly expensive either (Just limit that it has to be £10 or more).

Let's not forget about the whole 'lying about being in your twenties and having a kid' thing.

Weirdo.

Jesus guys.

3) Post and don't be a dick when you do.
4) Accept the banta you'll be getting with good humour

These are the most important points - if you can post and not be a chopper then that's a start, and then you must realise that you now have a tag that will stick with you for as long as certain members post here. It's a bit odd to say this of an internet forum where nobody truly knows each other, but I think that we're a pretty tight knit community and reading through these three pages makes it quite obvious that this is the case.

With regards to the Secret Santa, it has always been run with a degree of implicit trust and respect - something I found out when I strawberry floated up in my first year and didn't send ET a present until early February due to various reasons that aren't worth getting into. I was nearly blacklisted and very thankful that I wasn't. By not sending a present to the gift recipient, you break the circle of gift giving and shatter the trust necessary to keep the game alive and that's what people are annoyed about. However, as I've said before, I'm not arsed that I didn't get a present and to be honest, the fact that you've had the bollocks to apologise is important. Well done.

Forever a banana split as afar as I'm concerned. Six months have passed and you stroll in here - apologise (which costs nothing ergo means nothing) and say you want to make amends and still have not sent a strawberry floating gift.

The correct way would have been to send a gift and then apologise but you haven't done that. Deadpool is a nice guy and won't say it - but make amends or strawberry float right off. Part of a community means you contribute something other than insincere gooseberry fool that just reads as you feeling sorry for yourself.

Put up, pay up, wrap up, post off or strawberry float off.

Read the thread and then you might, MIGHT discover what you can do to put things right.

Hint: it involved BUYING DEADPOOL A GIFT.

You should just buy the gift. That'll solve all this.

I wondered where the hell you got to, actually.

In grcade, a secret santa gift is more important than someone trying to turn their life around.
