Podcasts annoy me. I like the ones which are productions from established companies like CNet (and their video content is great) but I simply don't see the value in sitting down to listen to the opinions of others when these would be better expressed in textual form.

I certainly don't see why every man and his dog thinks it's appropriate to have a podcast. Did these people think of going on the radio before Podcasting was invented? No.

It's on a par with those stupid "e-Magazines" which people seem to like. Why present your information in such an awkward format when you could just produce a website with the same content but which is therefore much more accessible, D-Pad Dave?

I think loads of people thought about going on radio before the net came along it just wasn't possible because of the start up cost.

Maybe because people like hearing others with similar interests actually talking and having in depth discussions about the things they understand and can't bring up in an ordinary conversation with their friends. Why do you think Radio Radar is so popular? I don't want to read an hours worth of dialogue from Gr if I can hear it.

For the first time ever, I agree with FishFingers. Most podcasts really shouldn't exist.

It's an m4p I think. It plays with VLC without an extension.

I think I might tell them to put it out as an MP3 as it's annoying as I can't play it on my MP3 also to add a extension.

I'm sure it has somthing to do with them being Mac users.
