Just finished the story. Whilst the ending was a little more subdued than I was expecting the whole experience has been one of the best I’ve had with any game. 10/10.

And now all the side stuff to do! :D

3 valkaryies down

Not finishing this until ive beat them all. They're tough as strawberry float but its a fair fight. After about an hour :slol: Ive managed to successfully learn to evade each attack which makes the right much easier.

Best game I've played since i first booted up DS3. Easy.

This is easily the best game I’ve played in years, the last of us was the last game which gripped me so much. In an age of multiplayer and tacked on micro transactions and loot boxes this is a shining light to other developers that focused single player experiences are still more than viable!

Still grinding Nifleheim and have 3 more challenge statues in Muselheim (spelling im not sure about, the fire realm) before I even consider the valkyries.. tried one and swiftly got my ass handed to me.

Nearing the end of the game I think as there's only two story trophies left to get.
I've been busy with the side missions and exploring the world to move the story on, I really hope we get some sort of story dlc announced at E3.

I'm using the upgraded armour from the poison mist area. Absolutley mashed the valkaryies once i worked out their attack pattern.

You're right tho. One of the best games ever.

Just you bunch of tough strawberry floaters wait till you encounter the Queen of the Valkyries. I caved in the end and lowered the difficulty after about 50 (No lie, must have easily been 50 tries) then beat her on the 2nd go on the lower difficulty. Finished it earlier (Still haven't seen the true ending) boy what a game, strawberry floating loved it apart from that damn Queen fight which I ended up taking a long break from the game. Now the long wait for GoW2.

Finished it. What.a.game.

Everything about it was amazing. The ending was good as well. Final battle was a bit too easy tbh but that doesn't really matter. Games like this don't come around very often. Everyone needs to play this.

Now off to murder the last valkaryies

Tight is one thing, actively broadcasting it at every given opportunity is another.

Anyway! I completed the main story yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed just about everything. The variety of enemies, much like previous GoW games, was astounding. The shift in gameplay style was brilliantly executed with the only flaw being the narrow field of view making it difficult to keep track of enemies.
My biggest gripe was that 2 parts of the game felt like padding (elements of Thamur's corpse and return to Hel), and how the game pulls the rug from under you a number of times just as you think you're about to reach your current goal. Other than that the game was balls to the walls fun. I can even see myself returning to it when I have a 4K TV.
