Really, really enjoying this so far and the game looks utterly stunning, but strawberry float me that text in the menus is tiny. Pretty annoying! :x

Yeah it’s dumb, thought we got past that 10 years ago.

I’m having real difficulty with the combat, especially those revenant banana splits. The camer snaps on and off so awkwardly it seems that I can’t focus on one thing properly. Died babout 50 times already.

Game goes some unexpected places....a lot lot bigger than I first thought.

Holy gooseberry fool, that second boss fight was straight out of Dragon Ball Z and Asura’s Wrath.

Absolutley phenomenal.

Thank God, I was worried it was me going blind.

Use the boy to help you out with them, stun and go to town on them.

It's actually ridiculously small. Considering it's a triple-A project that would have been play tested to strawberry float, how on Earth did this happen? Did they only playtest sitting right in front of monitors. It's not just an inconvenience it's near impossible to read so I'm skipping all the lore stuff which I would otherwise read. And so far skimming past the skills stuff.

Press down the right stick to lock on.

Really have to commend them for the combat changes. You feel more much more in control of your actions, gone is the button bashing, atleast on the second hardest setting.

You can see the Dark Souls influence all over the place from the combat, to the world layout and collectibles.

Been glued to this for the past 3 and a half hours :slol:

Really enjoying it so far. While the gameplay itself I don’t find OMG best looking ever, the overall presentation of the game is next level. So much polish in the menus and other effects are so pretty.

The combat takes getting used to and can be very frenzied but I’m slowly getting there and it’s feeling better and better with every encounter. The relationship between Kratos and Atreus is very well done at this early stage, had to pull myself away as I really want to see how it grows. The shining star for me though is the axe. strawberry float me it’s baller. Smashing gooseberry fool about with it, flinging it into an enemies head and summoning it back is so strawberry floating cool. Easily one of my favourite weapons in a game ever.

That second boss man, holy heck. The combat feels super satisfying when you get into the rhythm.

Played for several more hours this morning. It’s really great.

Just left the story alone and went exploring in the first big open area the game gives you to do that. Went on a couple of adventures and found out some more about the world and upped my gear a bit. When you’re really into the swing of combat and just munching foes left right and centre it’s really satisfying. It takes a lot of work to get there though as the controls don’t feel that natural though and there’s a lot to keep track of.

Put more time into this. It's opening up and is very enjoyable. A lot more puzzles than expected. But all well done.

I'm focusing on powering up the kid as his powers are very useful.

Some of the flying enemies are very annoying.

Wish my image sig would work

After the launch of God of War, IGN had to apologise to the Xbox Team after taking the piss out of the platform. Pretty unprofessional, but not surprising coming from IGN

Hardly taking the piss though is it. Apologizing for being honest, if a little brutal, about Xbones complete lack of new exclusives this gen :slol: the world is just full of sensitive babbies these days I'm sorry to say.

Spend as much time, you know, making decent exclusives as you do polishing the shite UI/Dashboard and you might avoid some of the slander and jibs you get :fp: failing that it might stop Nick chucking a Metacritic score at you :slol:
