I'll definitely be getting this when it drops to £15 in 5 years.

God of War is receiving a lot of positive press right now - not least its Eurogamer Recommended review - and from our perspective, it deserves its plaudits. It's another great example of a first party studio reaching new heights in terms of visual fidelity, with the title standing proudly alongside the likes of Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted 4 and Gears of War 4. From its remarkable rendering technology to its seamless camera system, God of War is a showpiece title - it's an impressive achievement that demonstrates what can be accomplished when that heady cocktail of raw talent, budget and time is deployed on a key project.

God Of War 3's VA's were great. Clancy Brown, Malcolm McDowell, Kevin Sorbo as Hercules, Rip Torn all fantastic.

Anyone seen any decent prices for this?

All I’m seeing is £50 which can strawberry float right off.

£45.99 and you get a further £5 off for pre-ordering bring it down to £41 inc. delivery. Never ordered from there before so I can't advise how close to launch day you'll get it.

£41 is still ridiculous. I'd maybe go to £30 on a video game if it was something I really wanted.

Games were more expensive than that 20 years ago.

Way before my time on purchasing games so I wouldn't know but weren't 360/PS4 releases £40 / sub £40 or is my mind deceiving me?

A £35 game in 2007 would be the equivalent of a £50 today, adjusting for inflation

£40 was standard, but inflation is a thing. £40 in 2007 (PS3 UK launch) is roughly equivalent to £50 in 2014 (PS4 launch)

EDIT: ninja'd

I'll definitely be getting this once if I clear my backlog of The Witcher 3, Horizon Zero Dawn, AssCreed Origins, Ni No Kuni 2 etc., when it's about £15 in 5 years.

Suitably tempted by the Smyth's offer. Parents are coming over in May so I could get them to bring it over. Or just post it, I suppose.

HUM.

Which mail order place is most likely to get this to you early?

Yakuza 6 is meant to be out on the 17th. I got my dispatch text confirmation yesterday from SimplyGames and that after only placing the order at around 9 AM. That day! Received the game today. (Via free 1st class post.) Mafro go his copy today as well.

Caved and ordered from Smyth's.

I did not think my next game purchase would be God of War, but there you go!
