The sound design in general is top notch. You're really missing out if you aren't playing with Headphones. I also kinda wish 3D Audio was a thing, but can't have it all. MH World spoiled me on that front.

Absolutely love playing this using my gold headset on full whack, even the sound of the axe being caught has a nice sound to it. Also a fan of the music in the game but then I like some of Bear McCrearys work in other media. Thought I'd have an hours go last night around 10pm. I was still awake at 3:30am playing it with work in the morning

Just chilling in Helheim now after just acquiring the Blades of Chaos.

Took my time, but finally done with the story. Love the way it wraps up and leaves it open for future games. Such a phenomenal experience from start to finish. Now onto post game stuff. Feel like the combat hasn't truly challenged me yet, as I've mostly gone by with simply combos. Fighting the Valkyries have opened my eyes >,> In for some real pain now.

Why only Sony and Microsoft are capable of making games like God of War.



Completely agree, EA, Unisoft and Activision haven't had a penny off me this generation.

I actually beat Kara. This is Olrun, the spinning one in Alfheim.

You’ve got to be careful not to go into Valkyrie fights too under levelled because they quickly become brick walls of annoyance. I don’t think it took me more than an hour to beat any one of them. Generally once you learn to read their attacks they’re not too bad but you definitely need to make sure you can take more than a couple of hits and your attacks actually do damage.

Yeah. After beating three of them I think I was getting a little cocky. I'll come back after a bit of leveling and try again.

Also, what difficulty is everyone playing on?

Normal.

I think I’m nearly at the end, but I’ve exploring as much as I can before continuing the main quest.

It’s brilliant.

I'm playing on Hard and the combat really is quite similar to the Souls games: if you die, it's probably your fault. Or you're fighting an enemy too advanced for you.

I've beaten 3 in Midgard with one left that feels a bit beyond me for now. Went through the challenges in Muspelheim and couldn't fight the one there either. These ladies are somethin' else >,> Some of those unblockables can be dirty.

Do the one in the mountain, you only get given a small area to work with and she has moves i cant seem to block or dodge

The problem with her is that when she rushes you she's either going to do a blockable twirly wing attack, or an unblockable wing thrust and the red circle indicating the latter only pops up a fraction of a second before it occurs. Try to dodge the whirly attack and you get hit. Try to block the unblockable attack and you get hit.

It was very frustrating, but I just don't think I was levelled enough.

Yeah i know, there is a slight tell between her moves and you have to be on point. Failing that shield rush the bitch.

I also found rage usless against her as she moves loads and you barely get any hits in

That one- I relentlessly spammed runic attacks and Boy's arrows and used the shield bash when she hid behind her wings.
