Watched this on Blu-Ray last night. One of my favourite films ever!

Watched this again in my pre Dark Knight Rises Nolan-run. Absolutely love it, but still don't get how Cillian Murphy's Uncle wouldn't recognise Saito, perhaps the company he belongs to's number one competitor when they bump into each other in the dream-hotel. Cos its a dream and its only someone else's projection of Murphy's Uncle?

Got this on Bluray the other day for £6, also leading up to TDKR (I also wanted to see the behind the scenes extras, which are sublime, if a little short. The rig for the zero G fight n the hotel is phenomenal).

All I can say is  Hans Zimmer. So many good soundtracks, especially the Nolan films he's scored. I think the soundtrack is my favourite thing about Inception.

Yeah, it's brilliant, isn't it. This tune in particular really gave the end (and beginning) of the film that little bit extra weight:

So to find out that that reality was a dream, like the film said, shattered how she perceived reality. There's nothing confusing there at all. She was just strawberry floated in the head.

2) I assumed they shot themselves off screen.

3) What Herbi said. It's all in the film, dunno how you missed it.

1) Also Leo's character did an inception before.... And it was on his wife. He made her to disregard the totem, and made her to believe that she is still dreaming ALWAYS. It's one of the big twists in the film.

Because he's a "dream" too, he's a projection of Robert Fischer's interpretation of Browning.

So, Fischer would have to know Saito, not Browning.

Browning is never "himself" in the dream states, it's either Eames impersonating him or Fischer's view of him.

One thing which confused me was that Leo took his wife's totem, the spinning top. Surely the purpose of a totem was something unique that only the holder fully understands, if it was his wife's, how would he know it was his item and not his wife's construct?

It's been ages since I watched it so if I missed something obvious by all means mock me.

Perhaps it's because his wife is dead?

But wouldn't he need to know its characteristics in real life? If he took possession while dreaming how can he ever know what it does when in real world.

He said totems were her idea so maybe he didn't have one. So when they woke up from Limbo and she died he found her totem, and took it for his own. He was never in a dream when he started using it and the only other person who knew about it was dead, so it would have worked fine.

I think that was the whole point of the ending.
The totems existed before she died, as it was her totem, so it wasn't created because of her death.
There's the constant mystery of: what if she was right? His totem could have been her, once he lost her there was nothing to ground him to reality.

Just watched it again. I think it's great the way that folk can talk about the film and still not be sure they're right, even with some suggesting the whole thing is a dream, but I've got to say some parts of the dialogue are downright awful. Really patronising, improbable exposition, and nothing about the film is very dreamlike at all - too much clarity. Lynch and Tarkovsky are the men when it comes to that sort of stuff. But the effects are strawberry floating great, and I love the soundtrack. He's just a bit of an autistic writer, great ideas but not artfully communicated. Thumps them into you with loads of talking then dumbfounds you with gorgeous effects. I see through you Mr Nolan.

Watched this for the first time last night. Good job I really liked it as it was bloody long. It obviously forces you to concentrate but I had to trust the film on a few aspects as I simply couldn't work out if they made sense given the pace and complexity of the film.

Really interesting premise though. Very much like a modern-day Matrix.
