Just finished this.

Stupid, stupid plot, written backwards. It amazes me that studios with this level of talent manage to put out content with writing this poor. You can't even make the excuse that it's not for adults as it's about a smackhead.

Also the only way to unlock all the powers is to do the tedious arena missions.

The story and the free roaming is really fun, though.

Probably about 4 hours, with a fair few side missions and stuff.

Well worth it, just horribly written.

I didn't think it was that bad. Althought Shane. What a terrible character.

I'm really disappointed in this. I'm only halfway through (I assume I'm halfway through, anyway), and the world is so bland (however, very pretty at times). It probably doesn't help that I only played Infamous 2 around 6 months ago, but the world doesn't seem as interesting, or memorable. I'm hoping when I get across to the other island things will pick up. Are there just the two? It seems really small, perhaps it's just because each section feels a little samey at the moment. The side quests seem very restrictive too. Is there really nothing more elaborate than these Secret Agent / Hiddent Camera / Spray Paint quests? The Spray Paint ones feel so pointless and gimmicky. If it doesn't pick up I think I may skip First Light altogether, unless it's dramatically better. The graphics and the powers are the only areas I feel they've surpassed previous entries in the series.

The game doesn't really change much so if you don't like it, you won't feel different about it. Not as good as the earlier games, unfortunately.

Yes?

Finally went back and completed First Light today. Thought it was fantastic, no idea what Sucker Punch were thinking making generic, smug Troy Baker guy #487 the main character in the main game when Fetch was much more interesting.

I completed this last week. Not as good as Infamous 2 but much better than 1. Biggest problem was how samey and repetitive it all was. From start to finish nothing changed except your powers (which were amazing btw). Same side missions over and over. I happened upon a great tip, in that if you play on Vita using remote play the graffiti sections get skipped (since they can't physically be done on the Vita, so it immediately skips to the completed graffiti) God, those got so tiresome after the first few so I almost always played on Vita to speed things up.

But a decent game overall.

I didn't do ANY of the side missions because I thought I'd leave them for something to do with the concrete power, but I'm kind of wishing I hadn't, the concrete power is ass. It doesn't even have an L1 power. Why can't you summon an concrete barrier like every other enemy on the game can? Why doesn't it have a super move? Such a let down. Saying that, I just finished this today and really enjoyed it. My only problem with it is it's quite hard to be tactical when your only defensive option is running away. That and the Karma system is really strawberry floating stupid. What is the point of giving me decisions through the entire game when it's on advantageous to go 100% in one direction?

You always feel super badass moving around and taking guys out though. I hope they make another Infamous game where the main person has Water powers. Like Hydrophobia but not gooseberry fool.

Anyways, here are some screenshots I was pretty proud of:

Just finished the story mode of First Light today, finally.

It was okay.

Now tackling the challenges and battle arenas.
