PostInfo needed on a ATB Mountan Bike

I've recently been given a mountain bike by one of the guys at work. It's in very good condition (almost new). As far as I can tell, looking at the frame, it's a 'Kalin HT100 ATB'. I've searched online for some info about this bike, to no real avail. It's as if it doesn't exist! I'm sure it's nothing special, but it seems to be very well made and pretty rugged-looking. I'm just curious to find out how this bike is rated (if at all) by those who might know something about ATB's. I plan to take it into a bike shop and have it made roadworthy (the back brake cable is unconnected).

Anyone here know their bikes and where I could find out online about this one?

Sounds like a no name brand to me. I've not heard of any, and I'm a bike mechanic. What is the spec like on it? If you take photos of the brakes/gears etc I can tell you how good they are or how you could improve if you like.

I can't take any photos, but I can tell you the gears (on the handles each side) are 'Shimano Revoshift' and the brakes 'APSE'. The wheels are 'Weinmann TM 19's (and in very good condition). Front shocks are 'Zoom' and the mid frame spring is 'Lu Jim'.

That lot mean anything to you?

Sounds very entry level to me, but not awful quality. You could improve on it, but you'll get by fine with what you've got to be honest.
