Totally agree. Took the family last night and loved it. Very well thought out and written.

A clever film that adults will get a huge amount from

Definitely a 9/10 at least

Almost ended up seeing this at the weekend but the gf had a last minute change of heart. Given that I am generally not a fan of Pixar/Disney, I was OK with this.

Loved it. I felt bad at one point though bing bong dying not that itself, but moments after when I heard a young child crying loudly behind me!

Best Pixar film since UP and definitely aimed at adults despite the colourful characters and fun world. Covers the journey of growing up and how experience defines who we are. Also legitimately funny.

Everyone should see this

One of the top 5 Pixar movies for sure.

Nothing. I'm sure I've explained this before but they fail to hold my attention and so I lose interest after 20 mins. I can't invest in any of the characters.

Haven't seen ant man but if you like Pixar then I'm positive you'll really enjoy this. Such crazy ideas for films but good god they work. And they sure know how to hit you right in the feels.

I think it looks utterly shite.

Ratatouille, Wall-E and Up are brilliant but both Brave and the new one don't appeal to me at all.

Id compare it most to Up, has a similar feeling to it, the theme of growing up and identity moments that define you. I think most adults will leave the cinema thinking back on their past and how it made them who they are today, and how its ok be sad at times.

Along with Up id say it was the most mature themed Pixar film.

I don't know about that, I'd say Wall-E has a more mature theme than Up.

Went to see this and Ant Man, had more expectations of this but I really enjoyed both films.

What do you mean when you say "they"? Animated characters or Pixar characters?

Not that either makes any sense but I'm just interested to get to the heart of your madness.

Up resonated for me, it covers love and loss and how regret can hold you back. I love the message that it's never too late to do what you want if you let go of fear. Most children won't relate to losing a loved one, so for me it's a mature Pixar film. I admit I've only see wall E once but enjoyed it, though the theme didn't hit me as much.

The first 20 minutes or so sure, but I think it gets lost a little later on in all the gags (not that the gags weren't good but I think they diluted the films message a bit).

Wall-E had a more consistently grown up message I thought, its basically a warning about the dangers of a throw away consumer culture and the problems a disconnect from nature can cause.

Yeah I see your point about UP but I still feel the ending carried the message well. I agree about your points on wall E too.

This is the joy of Pixar, they make kids films which hit every age group and always make you reflect on something in your own life once the credits roll.

Except cars 2. That was just a shameless cash in for merchandising.

I think it's animation as a whole.

When I watch a film or whatever with real actors in I can care about characters and feel emotion towards them. I can't do that with animated characters. Yes I know it's bizarre and no I don't know why this is.

So does that mean you don't play any story based video games?
