I want to learn, but the main offputtance is that I'd probably have to learn in public, which is obv. quite embarrassing.

I'd love to get back into cycling, but I might give handball a go, then move on to something that doesn't require as much energy.

Me too! When I was in Thailand I was in the water where I couldn't see the floor, I tried to swim and I got so tired I was humiliated. I would really like to get back into some kind of sport. I used to be pretty good at football but I hate people who play football so that's out of the question.

I genuinely feel sorry for people who don't know how to ride a bike.

Some of my happiest memories stem from not having anything to do on long summer days, being utterly broke and going off with a few mates on our bikes.

Definitely giving Hockey another go again, and Archery and Rowing both look quite fun to try as well! But Hockey is my first choice, and Ultimate Frisbee. But that wasn't in the Olympics :P

Lego Grand Theft Auto... You KNOW you would buy it.

I fancy giving Fencing a go and will be on the look out for any shorter triathlons in the area (although I'm awful at swimming speedily).

I used to fence when I was younger. I wasn't too bad at it, I won an award for it once and used to get matched up against adult opponents even though I was only about 13. I'd like to take it up again.

You obviously don't drive either, so you walk everywhere?

Archery would be cool but crazy expensive. Really should get back into weightlifting, not Olympic stuff, just general lifting, was the only reason I dragged my ass to the gym in the first place. Find it impossible to motivate myself to just go on the bike for an hour. Ill do it this week, definitely. :shifty:

Walk/Taxi/Bus.

Me and my mates never really did anything sporty either, our time around each others houses was spent playing video games.

It actually inspired me to keep running. Motivation was a bit low, but after all this I'm riding high on MO-tivation.

See what I did there?

There are clubs, and they'll hire stuff out. An archery club used to train at our rugby club.

No sport ever requires you to go and buy all the kit to start with.

Jesus Christ swimming is a lot harder than I remember. I could barely do a length. Got some technique tips for next time though, gonna beast it. 8-)
