I wish I just bought that at the time as it would have been so much cheaper even if I paid for an entire month than mobile data.

An update!

The engineer came round first thing this morning and was good as gold (if a bit talkative - I'm very antisocial). He narrowed the problem down to the wiring between the outside terminal box and our main socket. Apparently, if the exchange detects any sort of fault on the line it automatically slows down your broadband speed. The reasons for doing this went over my head but presumably it's a way of rationing out bandwidth or something.

Anyways, the initial signs are encouraging and hopefully it'll be back up to its normal speed in a couple of days and not a moment too soon - I never did buy a jazz mag.

Time to buy a jazz mag. I recommend this months “Jazz Today”, there’s a great Duke Ellington article.

I feel like JJ might be more of a MOJO kind of guy.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Hello guys - thought I'd hijack this to ask a question, if that's ok. I can finally get fibre broadband in my area, so looking at suppliers. Has anyone use Plusnet?

For cost/speed, they seem to be offering the best. Claimed 60mbps average for £28pcm.

Any thoughts? I have only ever really had BT or Sky so it's a step into the unknown.

I have plusnet and have done for nearly a year with no problems whatsoever, I would definitely recommend them.

I tend to go with whoever's cheapest. Hence why I have no internet.

I'm joking - it doubled in speed yesterday and has done so again overnight. Yay!

I have that package and I've had no problems at all. Also have a monthly SIM with them. They're owned by BT BTW.

Plusnet are BT service and several people use them on here. I was looking at them before I finally got Sky to fix my prices again.

I also have Plusnet with 75mb/s download wired or 30-40mb/s across WiFi, except with my work laptop that uses witchcraft to also get 75mb/s over wi-fi.

Yes?

No worries I use it all the time to get cash back for things like home insurance and travel insurance.
