Bruce has got a new solo album out on 1st March - The Mandrake Project - with Roy Z again. It’s been 19 years since Tyranny of Souls!

I quite like what I’ve heard so far. The videos, though… Embarrassingly dreadful acting all round (even if Bruce is deliberately hamming it up). My advice is don’t watch, just listen.

I don't think we are going to get anywhere near AoB or Chemical Wedding level of quality, but those songs are alright.

Blaze also has a new album out next month. Going to see him in Belfast. He's doing X Factor and Virtual XI gooseberry fool.

Went to Blaze Bayley last night. Good show, met him afterwards, nice bloke. The Clansman was the best song of the night.

The thing with Maiden for me is I treat every tour like it'll be their last.
In some ways I'd rather not know that they won't tour again but I had that with Motley Crue and the strawberry floaters lied.
Bruce's solo stuff has been good. I'll give the Mandrake project a bit of time today.

Damn, I've noted it down as releasing on the 11th, so I haven't ordered it. Must have double hit the 1!

EDIT: Ordered, arriving tomorrow.

So far im finding Eternity has Failed more punchy and listenable than the Maiden version

Only just got started, but the intro to Many Doors To Hell is pure Roy Z, and makes me realise how much I’ve missed that.

It's a great song. Bruce's vocals are on the ball.

Edit. Not sure about Resurrection Men though...

Hasn't clicked with me. Sounds like the vocal performances are a weird mix of younger Bruce and older Bruce. I assume they used stuff from the demos.

Mistress of Mercy. Whooooo leadssss youuu toooo the dark secretttttt am I rite

I think Eternity Has Failed is better than If Eternity has Failed. At least the intro instrumentation doesn't sound like something I made on my PC. It's probably the best song on here.

I don't think it's anywhere near AoB, TCW or ToS so far. Which is a shame. Hoping Judas Priest put out a good album.
