I don't need to add squash to water. I actually like water and drink a lot of it. But sometimes I want to add some flavour. It's like, nobody needs to add tea or coffee to water but they do. I don't really see a difference.

You could ask this about anything anyone does out of personal preference.

Personally, I can't drink water without adding barley, yeast and hops.

Also, is putting sugar on cereal actually a thing? :dread:

Maybe not so much in 2023 now that we’re all a little wiser to the negative effects of too much sugar but “make the thing you want your kid to eat/drink sweeter so they are more inclined to finish it all” was a common practice in decades past, which is why some would see adding flavour to tap water as juvenile.

“You shouldn’t be so sweet-addicted in adulthood that you don’t find something as fundamental to human life as clean water is enough to sate you.”

Thats not a position I judge others by but being more mindful of my own sugar intake it is one I hold myself to.

If you stopped doing it for a couple of weeks and power through the “disgusting” phase you could, and would find it ends up being just as good. You crave what you’re used to, and your enjoyment is mainly based on your craving being satisfied.

Yeah, it's very easy to wean yourself off, just takes a little time. Start by using half a sugar on it for a few weeks, then just a sprinkle, etc.

It's how I managed to get to drinking tea without sugar - and it tastes just as good as all those years when I had sugar in it.

Yeah, for strawberry floats sake Staydead, you should only be consuming Huel and lukewarm water. There is absolutely no place for you actually eating things you enjoy.

Using sugar is like throwing endless amounts of cash at obtaining higher frame rates. Go back to 30fps and power through the “disgusting” phase.

I would never dream of drinking milk. What's wrong with puddle water?

I actually just survive through photosynthesis. Any other sustenance is unnecessary.

Thing is I don't put much sugar on anyway. I'd rather get a little bit of sweetness in the morning as a pick me up.

I don't really eat sugary stuff outside of that so it's not like im overdosing on sugar by just having a little bit..

Don't worry Qikz, putting a little sugar on your weetabix (or in tea, coffee, ...) is totally normal.

In some regions it’s common to butter your Weetabix.

As an adult I eat and drink whatever the strawberry float I want, whenever the strawberry float I want. I could go and buy a birthday cake and eat it in my car - no one even checks if it's your birthday, it's amazing!
