ITV should just be left to die. It's provides the vast majority of crap that there is on TV, without roughly two good programmes on a week. Channel 4 isn't much better, although it has more quality, and Five has...crap films. Oh, and CSI.

Terrible idea though, I can't see Channel 4 agreeing to this though, and hopefully they'll see sense and leave ITV well alone.

Does anyone here actually watch anything on ITV apart from Harry Hill and sport? Thoughts?

Maybe with Ch5, but I can't see 4 doing it.

ITV is a shitfest and Ch5 is a non entity, the merger would probably kill off both of them.

I just read it. ITV is really strawberry floated.

One of ITV's proposals is to roll the three main advertiser-funded commercial channels – ITV1, Channel 4 and Five – into one, creating a broadcasting giant which would rival the BBC in scale and scope

One of ITV's alternative proposals is to turn Channel 4 into a fully fledged public service broadcaster that would no longer be funded by advertising.

The assumption behind this option is that a significant proportion of Channel 4's commercial revenue would then flow to ITV, which is suffering from a dramatic fall in advertising as the economy deteriorates.

I don't even watch Harry Hill. He's about as funny as colon cancer.

Harry Hill, sport, the occasional film, and a few things on ITV2; which is actually surprisingly good.

Hard to beat the Beeb really.

Wrong again FE, I watch Harry Hill. Some Corrie and maybe Emmerdale if im bored.

I think you'll find I'd right. There's a big reason 'ITV Humour' has apostrophies at either side of it.

ITV sucks balls. I would rather see it shut down than merged. It's about time they got some people at the top that knew what the hell they were doing and not concentraiting on the large amount of pap.

From now on I will call ITV gigapa from now on, it deserves nothing better.

strawberry floating hilarious would be a gross overstatement. He's just not on the same level as most other comedians and I watch a fuckton of comedy. He's the sort of guy who should be:

A) A kids TV presenter
B) Entertaining old ladies in retirement homes.

Didn't ITV4 used to be Men & Motors? Before they change it's name and pretty much everyone stopped watching it.

I remember they used to show some cool stuff.
