After the lack of Wii-U support, doubtful.

Almost certainly not at launch and likely not for a while after.
Wii U was the first Nintendo home console I bought and I got that when MK came out. I was hoping for Metroid and Zelda, but only one of those is coming out and in the consults death throes.
I'm interested to see what ends up happening with the handheld games. That may entice me to buy one.
It ultimately depends what games there are for it. We'll see tomorrow, but nothing on the initial trailer got me interested.

It all depends what they have for launch and atleast a 6 month window of what is to come.

Probably, but it would be sensible to enjoy the wii u until xmas and then get a switch bundle.

Where is the option for 'I've no intention of buying one until they're launched and then my lack of control will mean I'll end up with one'?

I'm thinking that option is not as niche as it ought to be.

Too early to say for me. I don't know enough details on the console, I need to see what kind of games and support it gets, and the price is yet to be determined. Once I know more on all of those, I'll be in a position to decide. I'd like to get one, but I'm not going to get one unless it ticks all the right boxes.

Been there day one for Gamecube, Wii, DS Lite and Wii U (and not so far behind for DS and 3DS), I'm a huge Nintendo fan and it's the only place to play their games. Love the concept too, so yeah I'll be there day one, regardless of what the presentation tonight confirms.

Same for me!

I'm totally skint for the forseeable, but I'll get one when I can afford such luxuries.

Before the presentation I doubted anything would stop me. Online subscription and the price of the console and games has me hesitant.

I may hold out for Christmas or skip yet another generation of console altogether.

Problem is by xmas most people will want a scorpio or a £200 ps4 pro. I just don't think nintendo will win at that pricepoint. They would have been better off releasing a ps4 equivalently powered console for £200.

But why would people buy that when they already have PS4-equivalent consoles?

Nintendo exclusives ofcourse! This is just another wii u, but even more expensive with paid for online play.

If people bought consoles for Nintendo exclusives, the WiiU would be the best-selling console ever.

I don't like pay-for-online play, but it feels hard to berate Nintendo for this when MS and Sony demand a fee. But, yeah, it does suck.

I won't be back in UK until the summer, and I think I'll probably dive straight in with Zelda, Splatoon 2, MK8 Deluxe and Arms if it's a hit (which I thought looked brilliant to be fair). Plenty to keep going with for the few months after that and then Mario hits :datass:
