Yeah, Fuzzy, I'm also hoping that things will crop up that force me to amend my answers :-).

A disappointment was the lack of a Mad Max 2. It hadn't really been mooted, but I had a hope. Maybe one day.

The lack of Wolfenstein in this thread is disappointing. I'll save my post for after Nintendo, but right now Wolfenstein is the game I'm most looking forward to.

I'm happy with (in order):

1. That insane Mario Rabbids thing
2. Wolfenstein 2
3. Knack 2, GT Sport and No No Kuni 2 dates being this year.
4. Spiderman looking good
5. The Last Night
6. Ori sequel
7. SotC getting a lick of paint
8. Sea of Thieves
9. Lawbreakers
10. Days Gone

In general, though, it's been a pretty weak show. The splurge of games in the first half of this year means we're off-cycle for anything that isn't an annual or biennial franchise. Leaving us with some really rote showings. Call of Duty not even being worthy of a demo, and Gran Turismo not even getting time in the main conference, shows how little these megafranchises feel they need to show anything. Everyone knows what they're going to get. Same old same old.

> Something that made you go "Wow!": BG&E2. Hype train choo choo chooing up in this mummy strawberry floater.

> Something that made you go "That's... disappointing": Skull & Bones and Anthem looking like online-focused experiences. :(

> Oh, and I want to say this: There were more unexpected surprises this E3 than I normally get, so I'm pretty happy on that front; E3 is like Christmas for gamers, and what's better about Christmas than the surprise gifts that are also things you really wanted but totally didn't expect? However, the overall lack of megaton reveals made the event as a whole feel very anti-climactic, despite an array of great looking games shown off. In an emoticon: :?

I'm updating my responses!

> Your game of E3:

Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 (PS4) - I still lve playing PES and the new online co-op play options look brilliant. Improved movement and skills look smart, too. I will be there at launch for this!

> Three other games that you are excited about:

Skyrim (Switch), Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle (Switch) and Mario Odyssey (Switch).

> Something that made you go "Wow!":

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle (Switch). It may not be the nest game of the show, but I had very low expectations and the strategic, turn-based battling looks to be great fun. A pleasant surprise!

> Something that made you go "That's... disappointing":

Seeing Metroid Prime 4 revealed... only to realise that it is, very likely, a long way from release. But, hey, it's great news that it's coming!

> Oh, and I want to say this:

I wish the console manufacturers had some better ideas for including interaction with the online viewers of the shows. We're now in a connected world and yet very few previews / demos are available to look at... maybe even a couple of simple freebies to encourage folk to go and jump onto their consoles. A downloadable character or the surprise release of a mini game... just something.

I've enjoyed the presentations overall.

There were some games I liked the look of and will probably buy, and some games I wasn't that bothered about and probably won't buy.

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

No show by Retro Studios, I want to find out what they are working on!

> Oh, and I want to say this:

Sony's Press Conference although good I felt slightly disappointed, they didn't seem to have many megatons this year after last year. Spider-man also looks like a re-skin of Batman Arkham games but prettier and with more QTE's.

PS pre-show + main show = a very good showing.

We got plenty of 2017 games and plenty of games with a 2018 release.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle actually looking really good.

The whole event felt pretty underwhelming.

All the things you can do with cappy in Mario Odyssey, it looked so much fun taking control of minions and stuff. Mario T-
Rex will be awesome. :D

> Something that made you go "That's... disappointing":

They didn't show Smash Bros or Pokemon Stars.. at least we know nowthey will bring Pokemon to switch eventually though.

Pretty disappointing overall.

Some amazing games, Mario Odyssey being my personal highlight, but lacking any big surprises that floored me.

> Your game of E3:
Im going to go with Xenoblade Chronicles 2, I loved X and could not put it down so Im really looking forward to this.

> Three other games that you are excited about:
Minecraft, the super duper upgrade pack and cross network play look great.
Super Mario Odyssey: The eyes on the hat are strawberry floating weird but it looks like its going to be an amazing game.
Metroid Samus Returns: Too early to get hyped fro Prime 4 but I always preferred 2D Metroid anyway so Im really looking forward to this.

> Something that made you go "Wow!":
Beyond Good and Evil 2. I thought it was dead.

> Something that made you go "That's... disappointing":
I continue to be disappointed by the total abandonment of Advance Wars. Wargroove will hopefully fill that gap but seeing another Fire Emblem game while AW sits on the shelf neglected and unloved is always a disappointment

> Oh, and I want to say this:
It looks like Microsoft know what theyre doing with Minecraft, I was very worried they would strawberry float it up entirely and try to get a sequel out of it as fast as they could but they have shown that they understand what made the game so successful and have ideas about how to support it and help it grow. Of course theyre milking money out of it at the same time so its a win win but it is cool to see them encourage cross platform play and add the visual upgrade to the existing game instead of getting a new version out there.

Pretty much this. Games I'm interested in, but mostly underwhelming, as they were ones we knew about and aren't due to next year. Mario was the obvious highlight.

My game of E3: - Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, massive fan of the series and setting and the last game took it to all new heights for me. This looks like everything I'd hoped for and it being out so soon makes it even more exciting! I can't wait.

Three other games that I'm excited about - Just three? Difficult! Mario Odyssey is an obvious one but I'd struggle to narrow it down to just another two, Metro Exodus, God of War, Spiderman, Mario + Rabbids and Days Gone all stood out to me.

Something that made me go wow - That Metro Exodus trailer, I know it's probably not representative of the final game, even if created in the same engine but it absolutely wowed me, very excited to play it. Also the announcement of an actual mainline Pokemon RPG for Switch was pretty amazing, even if we're probably a long way from seeing anything of it. Oh, and original Xbox games on Xbox One was a very welcome surprise.

Something that made you go...'That's disappointing' - Mostly the absence of certain games, FF7 Remake, Shenmue 3, RE2 Remake, Smash Bros for Switch. Also most of the Xbox conference, totally underwhelming.

Oh, and I want to say this... - I think the Switch had a really strong showing, they showed an exciting line up of games and I think there's a good case to say the Switch is one course for one of the strongest first years we've seen, the games we already knew looked great and there were some nice surprises (especially Mario+Rabbids, not what I was expecting at all). Seen some people call out the PS4 as having a bit of a lull but I think there's some great looking games on the horizon and they're all exclusives, I fully expect to pick up Detroit, God of War, Spiderman and Days gone when they release. Microsoft really disappointed me though, I really cannot see where they're going with the Xbox One, it just feels a bit redundant compared to the other systems. Cannot see the Xbox One X selling at all.

No Virtual Console info

Yeah, Jamo, that's a game that I'm really keen to see more of. The setting and atmosphere are ace!

It's funny that everyone - including me - had such low expectations for this and yet it looks like being really good!
