Is Xbox hinting at something with "6"?

Now, I didn't watch that recent Xbox Developer Direct presentation. Even so, I have noticed a couple of interesting things in subsequent reports and I thought I'd better seek the advice of GRcade.

Evidence #1 - Nintendo Life reported about a hidden "Quake 6" reference in the Indiana Jones sequence:

Evidence #2 - I then looked over Pure Xbox and saw this picture shown... in which that "G"is clearly a "6"!

So... is there something Xbox-related on the horizon to do with "6"? Have I uncovered something Earth-shattering? Is this a GRcade World Exclusive?!?

Fake edit: Oh, oh, oh! OG Xbox (1), 360 (2), Xbox One (3), Xbox Series S/X (4 & 5)... !?! Is "6" a new console?!?

Ah! The evidence is now piling up, Milner! It feels like there is definitely something being hinted at.

If they're thinking about next gen already that's an absolute joke. I'm not sure we've had one great AAA exclusive for this generation.

If anything I'd guess Gears 6, I don't follow that series though so don't know if it's already been announced or if the devs are already doing something else.

Yeah, Gears 6 is well overdue.

6x6 = 36, I have zero clue what that means but if you add the zero on you get 360... :shock:

Yep, they say Microsoft is skipping the mid gen refresh and going with all new hardware.
Given all the additions that the PC has seen with image processing in the last 5 years this could be a good move as they don't need a huge bump in horsepower they just need hardware integration of the AI stuff that I don't understand.

It's certainly going to be interesting to finally see an actual hardware difference between xbox and PS for a change.

I'd really like to see just how mini the boffins at the xbox hardware hq can make a 360.
If it's a digital only then they could make it ultra tiny so maybe the size of a glasses case if they use 7nm chips.
