Your all-time fave title... that's one heck of a recommendation, Drummy!

I think the skipping game alone stops it :x

It'd be a shame if only one element held it back, Matt! It seemed that you had really enjoyed the game... my Twitter activity feed is only just recovering ;-).

Schumi wrote:...Uncharted 4 (has) a good shout of being in the conversation.

Yeah, that appeared to be very well received, Schumi; maybe the best of the series in the eyes of many folk.

Bit 'arsh! You don't have to do the skipping if you don't want to. Unless... has the curse of the completionist struck you?

Yeah. It keeps me competitive as well, I sit fairly comfortably inside the top 20 at the singing part of the game, which has the circular side effect of making me enjoy the game more whenever I get to the top of a leaderboard.

For me, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has just wiped Double Dash from its spot. The original 8 was almost there, but the battle mode meant it couldn't make it. With the addition of not only battle mode but a new game within it, 8 Deluxe wins out.

Forza Horizon 3 has not only beat out the original, but it's also moved up to push a few other games down the list [GTA V among them]. It has a great world to explore in Australia, made a number of improvements over the others, and the expansions are great as well. However, I have the feeling Horizon 4 will replace it and the game isn't even out until October. There's just so much that's been done to 4 that makes it the ultimate Horizon experience.

I'm pretty confident in saying Breath of the Wild has made it onto my top ten, even if I don't know where yet. Maybe Mario Odyssey as well.

I was hoping that the new Star Wars Battlefronts could manage to overtake Pandemic's second, but there's just no allowance for that to happen. They are beautiful games to look upon and be immersed in the universe, but the gameplay is what lets both of them down. Here's hoping that a third - if it ever makes itself known - can do the impossible and replace the game that sits at the very top of my top ten games.

Oh, and Kingdom Hearts 3 stands a chance of not only replacing KH2 but also pushing the series up my list.

Yeah, it always seems like you enjoy the kartin' on Mondays, Rula, so it's great to see this is your top ten!

The Forza Horizon games have always looked terrific and it's a series I would like to try one day. Probs only gonna happen if I move back to the world of Xbox, though!

If you can get a One S and a subscription to Game Pass, I'd say you're pretty much sorted. You'd get the Banjo-Kazooie games, the Gears of War series, Fallout 3 and 4, Viva Pinata, and a load of other games, plus access to every Microsoft Studios game releasing in the future [and those from the beginning of the year] - including Forza Horizon 4.

Of course, I'd say you've got plenty to already keep you going, and another hundred will do nothing to get those you already have finished.

Haha, yeah, I've no plans to move into the Xbox zone at present, dude. I was there for the Xbox and Xbox 360 generations but this time around I'm invested in the PS4. It's definitely a cool machine, though, and I love the backwards compatibility.

What?

I don't know what my top 10 is to be honest but there have definitely been games that I've enjoyed as much as others from previous generation's.

The Switch is possibly my favourite console ever with the highlights being Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8. I really liked Zelda but I'd much prefer a traditional Zelda game to an extremely polished open world game.

God of War, the Wolfenstein series, Doom, Titanfall 2, MGS5 and Uncharted 4 are as good as anything from the previous generation and all the sequels are much improved.

Unfortunately Inside is the only indie/smaller game I've really enjoyed.

Undertale is certainly in my top 10. Breath of the Wild probably is.

I have played so few 'current gen' games I've realised.

Another game that comes to mind is The Walking Dead telltale game, specifically season 1, but that is a little over the boundaries of current, and I'm not even sure I'd call it a top 10 game but it did leave a great impression on me.

Ah.

Inside was exclusive for a while :shifty:

There are quite a lot of games that are top 10 worthy, but considering how constrained an actual top 10 is I think Breath of the Wild is the only sure-fire entry as potentially the best game I've ever played. I also think Celeste is in with a good shout as it's an incredibly good game and one of the best in the medium for tying story themes to gameplay.

Another one for me (and I know there are many here who would very much disagree! ) would be Prey (2017). This absorbed me in a way that few games manage and is the only game of the last 15+ years that has given me anything like the feeling that PC classics like Thief, Deus Ex, and System Shock did back in the day.

PUBG
Nothjng I’ve ever played comes close to this when in a squad, the combination of strategy, skill, co-ordination along with the tension is a heady mixture. Being in the top 10 alone is terrifying but in a squad it’s brilliant.

The Witcher 3
An excellent RPG, outstanding.

I reckon Super Mario Odyssey makes it into mine.
DK:TF is last gen but I'd only just started playing it, and I think It'd make it. Tempted to pick it up for Switch.
Breath of the Wild probably misses out. It's definitely not my favourite Zelda, probably not top 2 or 3, although I do want to get it for Switch and give it another go so there may be a reappraisal.
Samus returns is good but doesn't make it. Looking forward to Prime 4 and hopefully Metroid 5 staking a claim.
MK8D doesn't replace MK8 in my top 10.
Need to play more of Xenoblade 2 to see where that features

Zelda: Breath of the Wild, The Witcher 3 and Mario Odyssey would go to the top of my all-time best games list.

Rocket League almost certainly makes mine, it's probably the best sports game I've ever played.

A special mention to Resident Evil 7 too. Probably doesn't make the top ten, but playing through the game in VR was a uniquely terrifying experience.

Oh gooseberry fool.

Yeah Resident Evil 7 is definitely in with a chance of making top 10 too. The VR experience adds so much to the game.
