I'm just content to have a very good 1080p screen, given that's all my devices support anyway.

Too late to vote but my PS4 gaming is done on a nice 50" Panasonic plasma (1080p). She's a beauty, but in this weather she gets very hot :dread:

The OSSC allows me to go as far as line quadrupling on most Retro systems on this monitor (my previous one only allowed line doubling) and it's incredible how good they look, with the artificial scan lines and the non-existent input lag I actually prefer it to playing on a CRT...

I didn't know what an OSSC is but, having looked into it ("Open Source Scan Converter"), I'd like to have one as it sounds ace!

Honestly I couldn't recommend it highly enough, it's amazing how crisp and sharp older consoles look and it's so nice being able to view everything through one display. I have a SCART connection (coming from a switcher) which goes into the back of the OSSC and then outputs via HDMI. It has component and VGA inputs on either side as well which I'm currently using to connect a Wii and Dreamcast, the Dreamcast looks particularly brilliant.

Being open source is great too as it's frequently updated and new features are added (For example it could only originally do line doubling, whereas now it can do up to 5x on some displays). It also gives options to turn things like scanlines on and off depending on how fussed you are about them.

The only downside to is that compatibility with TV's can be a little hit and miss (Although there's a compatibility list on their forum) but I've found with monitors it works really well.

Samsung 40" 1080p jobbie. Does the trick just fine and I have no need or desire for anything bigger or fancier.

Well, the votes are in and 1080p (40 inch plus) was the runaway leader. We GRcadians use quite a range of screens, though, with 7 still rocking a 720p setup, 36 going with 1080p and 21 branching out into 4K. The results suggest that 720p screens are gradually being replaced, 1080p setups are the current dominant majority and 4K sets are rapidly increasing in popularity.

Thanks for taking part!

Thanks for the info, Jamo. I don't have any plans to get this system at the moment but, in the future, I'd like to delve further into it.
