Which of these gaming phrases have you said IRL?

"How much for the box, dude?"... yes, just one of many (in)famous GRcade phrases that we love to bandy around here in GR.

But have you ever said any gaming/GRcade phrases in real life?

I will admit that i have used the term 'super effective' before.

Some of those listed though would likely just provoke a nervous laugh from folk.

I have started using the "Strawbin'" GR term IRL... almost to myself, really, but I'm building up to say it out loud. I have also said "From downtown!" to one of my nephews and he gave me a look that said "what a saddo!" :lol:

I also use phrases that appear in games but have been stolen from films like "hail to the king"" "I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass" ... I pretty much celebrate my dorky side

I think "git gud" is the only one I've used, but that would have been while gaming with somebody in real life.

I’ve used a couple (well 3, but one I had no idea was from a game?),

“Completed it mate”
“Do a barrel roll!” - this one has mainly been used when just joking with my brother who’s played Star Fox and knows the line :lol:

I use “what a shame” all the time, but have no idea if I picked it up from a game or what!

I'm always saying "I'm so annoyed that jawa didn't include a particular phrase and now I'm gonna get mad about it in the comments", it's just one of those phrases I picked up.
