Director: Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed)
Written by: Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes)

Current rumours are that the film will be set in an already up-and-running dinosaur theme park, which to me sounds like a perfect way to set up an interesting sequel. The visual spectacle of it before and after everything hits the fan has masses of potential, and in a bustling theme park you would have a much larger amount of people trying to survive than we've seen before.

It could also be a reboot of sorts, one that doesn't ignore the previous films but doesn't need to lean on them either.

I'm quietly (well, not that quietly) confident about this one. People will cry sequel and claim disinterest based on the last films but dinosaurs will be back on our screens wrecking gooseberry fool up, and that's awesome. I'm prepared to be sceptical when there's something tangible to judge, but until then - bring it on!

Director seems to be a Jurassic Park nut so I'd expect there to be a fair bit of animatronic work. CGI is inevitable, it is the series that kick-started the whole thing after all

A smart mix of CGI and animatronics would kick butt.

As long as the T-Rex doesn't get killed in the first 20 minutes I'm happy.

To echo Rubix's sentiment, FOR CHRIST SAKE DON'T BE LIKE 3!!!

So long as Phil Tippet doesn't get his job back, I'll look forward to it.

Because he was gooseberry fool.

Dinosaurs running amok is still a good idea for a movie so I'm cautiously optimistic. Good that they didn't just use a tyrannosaur in the pitch as that'd be a bit too cliche. The second time the flappysaurus swooped down I honestly expected a swimmysaurus to burst through the water and grab him.

That pitch was for a game that never happened and is a few years old.

The original film is probably in my top 20 films of all time. Maybe top 10. Genuinely magical film-making and a totally unforgettable cinema experience.

We felt like we were on a voyage of discovery with the main characters. strawberry floating brilliant stuff. The scene where Grant and Satler see the dino for the first time, then find out there's a T-Rex...

The other two films were gash. :(
