Friends still makes me laugh, I can't rewatch season 1 though as their characters aren't quite established but Friends genuinely makes me laugh and feel nostalgic. I still well up a little bit when Rachel got off the plane.

Also holy f*** Rachel is hot.

I watch Band of Brothers every couple of years, an outstanding TV series worth a rewatch.

As for movies I rewatch LOADS annually:
Brighton Beach Memoirs
Stand by Me
Biloxi Blues
Guardians of the Galaxy 1&2
The Hobbit Trilogy
Fight Club
Toy Story Trilogy

and for Christmas I always rewatch:
The lord of the Rings trilogy
Trading Places
The Holiday
Die Hard Trilogy
Home Alone 1 & 2

If we're doing films too, then everything by Edgar Wright

Friends I guess, back in the day, through E4 reruns. I enjoyed it but I normally just tuned in because there was nothing else good on TV. I remember its ending impacting me emotionally. Now though I have no desire to revisit it.

Series I've thought about rewatching again: Breaking Bad, Ugly Betty. Shows I've started rewatching, but pretty slowly: Evangelion and TTGL - hasn't helped that I've seen the first few eps over and over to refresh my memory before dropping them again for whatever reason.

As for films: Back to the Future and Edgar Wright films but in particular Scott Pilgrim. I also feel like Blues Brothers should be in this list but for some reason I've only watched it once. I should remedy that.

It first aired in 24 years ago, yet it holds up so well. The writing, direction and acting are all top notch.

I feel that the quality peaked around seasons 5-8, but even the later ones are still damn good.

Season 2 is where the show properly got going anyways.

As for films...

LOTR Trilogy
Home Alone 1 & 2
Wayne's World 1 & 2
Short Circuit 1 & 2
Back to the Future Trilogy
Flight of the Navigator
Ghostbusters 1 & 2
Commando
True Lies
Speed

A fair few of these were my fave films as a kid, which is probably why i find them so damn rewatchable.

I'm also particularly fond of classic Red Dwarf.

Battlestar Galaxtica
Lost

But also audiobooks -

Wheel of Time

Peter F Hamilton’s Commonwealth universe

Oh, what’s that other one again with the giant sentient spaceships? Edit - The Culture! Definitely listening to those next.

I disagree. Years ago I gave up on that series halfway through reading it.

I tried again last year and blasted through them all as I absolutely loved them.

Lots of comedies are in my permanent cycle of go-to watching, I seem to be able to watch these over and over without losing enjoyment:

Peep Show
Red Dwarf (S1-6)
Community
Spaced
Futurama
Office (US)
Blackadder (S2-4)

Drama I'm less likely to rewatch as there's usually more investment required, but recently I went back through Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul (S1-3) back to back and it was just as incredible as the first time, just peerless TV. I've rewatched The West Wing a couple of times as well, it does go off the boil a bit when Sorkin burns out in season 4 but even after that it's still a fantastic show.

Watched the whole series several times over the years from start to finish and it's brilliant every time.

Completely agree, my favourite arc is around Lucy Knight and Carter descending into Pain Addiction, ER is all about the relationships for me; Carter and Benton are just

For me; Frasier, ER, Breaking Bad, US Office (S2 onwards), Fawlty Towers. I tend to rewatch Teachers a lot too (last season aside :dread: ); Andrew Lincoln, Navin Chowdry, Raquel Cassidy and Adrian Bower are so excellent as a group I wish they'd done more.

Great shout! I had Teachers on a regular repeat back in the day but have lost my DVDs so it's gone out of rotation for me now. I'd say series 2 was the peak but 1-3 are all excellent.

It's surprising how much the show changes in a short space of time as well, with series 1 being much more drama focussed but by series 3/4 it's become almost a straight out comedy show.

I never watched Teachers, which is weird as I know it’s set/filmed in Bristol.

Not sure I could take Rick with a British accent, I’m too used to his American one!

Hearing Andrew Lincoln trying to be American is one of the things that put me off Walking Dead at first!

Most Bristolians I know get angry about the fact that Teachers shows various sequences of people travelling to work but they keep jumping around locations that are nowhere near each other in reality!
